"Popped in for the ‘Beer Burrito Festival What an absolute S**t show ‘beer and burrito night’. Lots of beers to choose from however on arrival a choice of 8 was available, we were told one of the other barrels had to run out before they replaced it with a beer that people may actually want to drink, also not as many as advertised. Ordered some food…. Had to stand away from all the friends and family to continuously glare at a screen waiting for my number to appear in ‘the wait area’ once my number did appear, and the ‘chef’ placed my food on a random table which was labelled as a collection point, my food was then taken by someone else, didn’t even end up with what I’d paid for, 28 min wait for some cold chips slapped with guacamole claimed to be ‘loaded fries’ "

Very friendly pub with good service. The food was a good standard 'pub grub ' with generous portions.

Comfortable, welcoming and friendly pub, came here on a Saturday evening and had some tasty food and good beers. It is dog friendly and we were allowed to park overnight in our camper. I would recommend it.

Have eaten several excellent lunches here so decided to hold my birthday meal here for the family. The sevice was ok and the beer on offer was excellent but the food was bang average and was less than impressed. Was this a bad day! What a shame that this community pub let me down on this occasion.

Been a couple of and unfortunately the food does not live upto expectations. Both times the menu looked great with wonderful ideas but each time the food was not upto par bland. Service on both occasions was also slow and not attentive. Would love to support the pub again but unfortunately unless the food improves or change of chef we won't be returning.. Voir le carte

A beautifully located pub in an outstanding location, tucked away in a leafy Norfolk village right at the start of the Norfolk broads, community owned and operated a lovely local gem. 2 minutes walk from here is the Upton Pond teeming with carp, and other little fish, take the kids to feed them, pop into the local community owned shop and then head to the broads for beautiful walks.

This was the first time we had been to The White Horse for a while. Previously the food was average, but they have really upped their game and we had two great meals that were a compliment to the chef. While the prices have risen, the quality has vastly increased meaning it gave good value. We would rather see this than pubs trying to keep food cheap for the sake of it as that doesn't work. Most consumers will pay a little more if the food is good and it was very good. We shall certainly be back again and is still dog friendly which is a huge plus for locals and holiday makers alike.

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
