"Second time visiting here Lovely traditional country pub with beams across the ceilings. Dogs are welcome. The Pub is split into eating side and a casual snug side and is complimented by a spacious bet garden with climbing graves for the kids. Varied normal menu of traditional pub fayre although tonight we thought we'd try out the fish menu. Nice range and we had the Seabass and Swordfish, both well cooked and very tasty. Good selection of potatoes to accompany as well as choice of salads or veg. My Swordfish plate may look a little empty but was my choice as I didn't fancy salad or veg, the Dauphinois potatoes however were excellent. Staff were attentive, chatty, friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for better. A lovely evening and well worth a trip off your passing."

We had a private buffet in the garden room for 24 people on a Saturday afternoon. The buffet food was excellent, the staff were very helpful and we had a great time. Could not have been better.

Lovely 'country ' pub. Haven 't been here for about 20 years but made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. Nice lively pint, clearly well looked after lines and food looked lovely. We will be back to sample.

Not what it used to be, two bar staff on duty who were both eating behind the bar, not very hygienic. Beer prices are over the top, it’s not a central Bristol pub, no wonder most of the village drinks at The Lamb where the beer prices are actually lover than I was expecting.

Had a family get-together at the white hart last Saturday and the staff looked after us so well, sorry I didn't get their names but welldone girls! The buffet was fresh and delicious, catering for all requirements and ages especially loved the mini yorkies filled with beef and horseradish and the pulled pork sliders. The sausage rolls were also very good.We had use of a room with access to the garden and the kids loved the play area.We were also blessed with great weather.Everyone had a good time and we will do it again next year

Lovely pub with a nice garden especially for younger children. However, extremely disappointed with my Trio roast costing £18. Food came out as if it had been under a hot plate for a while, lamb and beef were fatty so once cut away not a huge amount left to eat and the roast potatoes were disintegrated inside and impossible to cut as if they had been reheated hours after the initial cook. For the price you’d expect fresher and a general better standard of food. Did not bother to complain as it looked like everyone’s meal around us was the same standard and did not have time to wait with young children. The service and atmosphere as always was great though. Hoping this was a one off as I do l...

"Visited today for lunch and probably wouldn't rush back although I'm aware there's recently been a change in management so maybe a few teething troubles. Messaged via their Facebook page to book a table, no response. Never was a problem in the past. The pub was very cold with no heating at all so we had to keep our coats on. Several tables near us commented the same and all sat with coats on. The coffee machine was out of order so only instant available, which wasn't pleasant. We waited a long time for someone to come and take our food order, in the end I went and found someone. Two of us wanted the steak ale pie. Only then were we told it wasn't available. The chap said we should've been told when we were given the menus, well it was him that gave them to us! With that he said he'd give us a few minutes to choose something else and walked away. He didn't come back so I had to go and ask to place our order again. At no point did anyone ask if we had any food allergies, which I thought was a requirement these days? The food was really good, credit to the chef; it was well cooked, well presented, large portions and very tasty. We did notice that two other tables waited a very long time for their food and had to chase it up, so glad we ordered when we did. We would have stayed longer and had a dessert but it was so cold we couldn't relax and enjoy it. We were next to radiator and we did ask one of the waiters if it was possible to turn it on and he said he'd see what he could do, which was nothing as it remained stone cold! When our plates were taken we asked for the bill, but it didn't arrive. Eventually a young lady arrived with the card machine and asked us to pay, which we said we'd be delighted to do once we received our bill! When we left we walked past 3 different members of staff, all of whom had waited on our table at some point during our visit. Not one of them made an effort to say thank you or goodbye. There was no warm ambiance or friendly feeling in the pub, it felt cold (literally) and unwelcoming. I also felt that a couple of members of staff waiting on tables looked rather scruffy, none of them wore a logo'd t-shirt which I feel the staff should do as they're representing the pub or brewery. It was difficult to distinguish the staff from the customers!"
