"The 'dreadful ' review online from 2015 needs to be deleted. We went there twice this,week, as a couple, and as a family. Service was very good, food was good and reasonably priced. Beer was a good choice, especially real ale, Timothy Taylors Landlord etc. A friendly pub atmosphere, well worth a decent review. Don 't knock it until you have tried it. We will definitely be going back, and I 'd suggest that you go back too. Support a decent local pub. It 's obvious that they are striving to get better, every day."

Visiting the area and called in for lunch had pizzas and the quality and value for money was very good. The owners and staff were friendly and efficient. Would visit again.

Fantastic staff and service from everyone. Great drinks always available and the food is another level for a pub restaurant. Can't fault the new landlords and staffing team at all and will be back as often as I can :

What a great pub, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, people chatting away over a drink or something to eat. I enjoyed my meal and dessert 10/10. The staff were nice and friendly and made you feel welcome. I definitely recommend this place to dine out.

This pub is great venue and under development by new management who seem keen to both welcome and provide a great pub atmosphere.New chef will be providing food shortly so looking forward to a great Sunday lunch.Plenty of room for social distancing and also outside area Good to be able to drink safely with friends in an hospitable environment .
