"We visited this restaurant on Sunday for lunch. They are taking the easing of lockdown measures seriously, with temperature checks and other precautions in place. It was wonderful to be able to dine out, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant has an impressive selection of ciders, beers, and wine. They will be starting Sunday lunch service again soon, and based on our experience, we can't wait. The bubble and squeak croquettes were outstanding, and the dirty fries with pulled beef were also delicious. Chef Steve is passionate about foraging, so expect local and interesting ingredients. The restaurant is welcoming to both dogs and children, and the music adds to the fantastic atmosphere. We highly recommend this place!"

good, friendly pub with live music, attentive staff and a great selection of dining. I went on Wednesday night for live music and there were 3 bands with good audio and a beautiful stage room.

Absolutely brilliant with live music, excellent selection of beers (even if I stick to just the Beavertown). Excellent owner, love the old-school music posters/magazines wallpapering in the toilets as well.

Very cool. Just nipped into the pub to pick up some food from a food van. They had a band playing nice music and everyone was really friendly. Sat and had a quick beer while waiting for my food. Definitely going to go back and experience it properly!

a friendly community pub that has a good selection of real ales (pumping on the bar and american style on the wall / beer menu card). the pub is not much to consider from outside, but they have really made an effort with activities (e.g. board games could) and live music. dog-friendly.

We were let down by the actual dishes at this restaurant. We tried the 3x3 menu and found that the dishes were mostly mediocre, with some even being almost inedible. The chicken liver mousse served with the wood pigeon was especially disappointing, leaving a lingering aftertaste and unpleasant smell. The main course and dessert were okay but nothing memorable. On the bright side, the service was good.

After searching online for somewhere to eat early with our grandchildren (between 4pm and 5pm) this establishment sounded perfect. I phoned 4 times, at various intervals and dates only ever to get an answer machine on each occasion. I read the reviews and followed the instructions on the answer service and booked on line. On arrival we found the establishment to be closed. While outside I checked the site opening times again, to see it was showing as open at that time. I'm afraid, once bitten, twice shy' applies here and we will not be returning, sorry.

A lively pub which attracts folk of all ages for its good fayre, ales and ciders, this place can become busy at popular times but it's large rear garden provides extra space in fair weather. A team of friendly, welcoming and, importantly, enthusiastic staff provide good service. Regular events might include beer and music festivals, live musical evenings, various quizzes and craft fairs etc.; in fact, it seems nothing is impossible here. A side carpark is provided off an attractive village lane. Popular with walkers and cyclists as well and there's even a nearby rail station and wildlife park.
