"Having visited here for breakfast a few months back, when the food and service was excellent, we went back for lunch. The options for a light lunch aren’t great but what we had was ok. Nothing special though. The service was a massive let down. Took ages to take our drinks order, another wait to give our food order, we had to ask for a second drink even though our glasses had been empty a long time, we asked for ketchup but got mayo instead…. you get the idea. There was only one other table in so it’s not like they were busy!! We will go back, for breakfast on the lovely waterside terrace, and just hope we are served by the lovely gentleman and not the young lady desperately in need of some training!"

"had a fantastic lunch with friends on the buck to celebrate a birthday, service was excellent, the burger was delicious, some had crabs and they said it was also very nice. the cherry brownie desert was worth the visit, just for it. the restaurant is very clean and welcoming staff are very nice and helpful best of all wheelchair friendly for me that is one. very recommend to give the buck at honingham an attempt."

"Atmospheric, homely old pub with original fixtures and fittings and rather a lot of stuffed birds and pictures of racehorses which means the ladies ' loo with its sparkly, iridescent white walls comes as something of a shock. I suspect it 's something of a practical joke on the part of the landlords! Great big appetising plates of Sunday dinner far too splendid to be diminished by calling them simply 'lunch '."

"Unfortunately was a little disappointed heard so many good things about it really wanted to try!.. family member birthday 10 adults 3 children we were booked in for 7pm only one person serving behind the bar serving food collecting in plates !!! Really could have done with a hand? The wait was not good the meal overall was just ok! We noticed No side plates bread on the table butter like rock can’t say I would rush back so disappointing! "The service at this restaurant is extremely slow. It seems like the staff is more focused on other tasks rather than attending to the tables. We had to wait for around 10-15 minutes for our table to be cleaned after finishing our meal, even though the restaurant was not very busy. The food was mediocre and there were only a limited number of options to choose from. Overall, it's not worth another visit."

"My family visited this restaurant today to celebrate our anniversary. It was myself, my husband, our 1-year-old son, and our small dog. The atmosphere was delightful, everything was clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our server, Amy, was fantastic and deserves recognition for her excellent service. Our son's fish fingers were generously sized and well worth the price, with excellent quality fish and perfectly cooked batter. I ordered the scampi and prawns, which were absolute perfection. My husband enjoyed the dressed crab dish with no complaints. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and its staff."

"A traditional village country pub. It always has a good selection of draught beers and the atmosphere is always welcoming with a log fire in winter. If you want tiny portions of pretty Michelin star food go elsewhere, but if you want traditional pub style food, good sized portions and nice pint for a reasonable price, give it a try. Having just had French onion soup, followed by a huge plate of slow cooked ribs, washed down by a pint of local bitter, I am truly satisfied!"

"where you can start on this beautiful hidden little jewel! After we have lived in the village over 5 years ago and since we first visited the pub, we have always found the food to be at point at any time, never a bad meal great portions and excellent price-performance ratio, we now live away from the antidote but regularly back for eating and drinks are the staff and cook always friendly and helpful, could not be a bad worker menu against any kind with any kind of friends. the atmosphere is beautiful, they have curry nights, steak nights, cake nights, poker nights, fruit machine available to use a good choice of music on the juke box, beautiful large gardens for children and good bbqs in summer with beer festivals. only an excellent pub for eating, families and singletons"

"I have to say this is one of the most welcoming campsites I have ever visited. Louise working on the bar was so warm and welcoming, she was informative and explained the facilities offered. Shaun Tom the landlords were very welcoming and the pub food was good. I highly recommend this pub camp site, warm outdoor showers, it was an absolute delight staying here after travelling 7 hours. I will definitely be returning A"

"Busy Saturday-fair enough don 't expect quick service. Take a seat upstairs please. I do and wait...and wait...and wait. only 2 other tables occupied. After 20 minutes when I was still happy to wait thinking well they are busy downstairs another young couple occupy another table. At which point a waitress appears takes their order. A little annoying, but hey, mistakes can be made and I wait for the young waitress to come over to take my order too-she 's just got it out of order-no big deal . She then walks off to place the other table 's order....I 'm not there apparently. I walk out of the door to never return. I assume the young couple being of the same generation were noticeable, whereas I 'm not, being older. So be warned if you are over 35 and get put upstairs you become invisible and may die of malnutrition or dehydration ."

"We booked, turned up a little early and had to wait a while for someone to seat us. There was one other table occupied so not sure why it took so long. The eclectic style was interesting if a bit chaotic. We sat at an old wooden table with feature chairs but I had to swap mine as it was really uncomfortable and not very well upholstered. We waited quite a while for service for each course, surprising as there was a max of 3 tables occupied at any one time. The food was good. Not exceptional but good quality, tasty, well cooked and presented. My partner's favourite course was his very good steak (locally sourced), mine was the fabulous cheese at the end the cheese itself was very good but all the extras were really interesting and different. The waitress was pleasant but we did feel as if the whole place was running without enthusiasm. No attempt at any personal touch or chat. No rudeness either. But given that so much effort has gone into the decor and fittings being so different and the food and reputation are so good, it felt a bit flat."

"just abysmal. Sunday lunch they would run out of frying dinner in the rest of the menu available. besides the first two items on the rather short menu were the Brat dinner. (roast bell of pork is not my idea of a roast in any...case) that does not leave much choice. my gammon, i and chips were just that. not even exhort. as mean! the gammon was so hard that he was almost unpredictable. it was also ridiculously superfluous. fish and chips were in order. sticky toffee puddings were in stone cold, barely out. their replacements were hardly in the inside, dense, chewing and dried and hard around the edges by reheating. it could have been as much as a spoon sauce above. they were also rejected. shockingly terrible. Barmaid/waitress was apologetic, but no offer made to reduce the bill. I've never been impressed by the food here, it's been mediocre for years. This is a pub that clearly focuses on its charming location and no effort in the direction of quality. it must be avoided."

"I pre booked a table and when we arrived the lady was very pleasant and welcoming, we ordered drinks and were taken to our table. The pub was very cosy and warm. We ordered food and it arrived not long after, the food was presented lovely and the portions were large, the battered haddock hung of the plate, the mushroom risotto was very tasty and I had perfect poached egg perched on top of 2 thick pieces of smoked haddock. Atmosphere and service was perfect, thank you"

"We have been here a few times now for big family meals, we have a large family and the ship have always catered for our needs here, we get the room at the back which fits us all in nicely, the food we have here is divine, served lovely and hot and considering our large family they manage some how to get all our meals out together so we all sit and eat together. It's children and doggy friendly which is always a must for us consider we have quite alot of kids between. The service is great here, I can not fault it and the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend the ship in Reedham"

"We have enjoyed dining at this restaurant before, but yesterday we decided to try the Beef Roast. The beef itself was delicious, but the roast potatoes appeared to be frozen and the portion of cauliflower cheese was minimal. The stuffing ball was hard and dry. The Coke tasted strange, possibly due to the drink lines being cleaned. After drinking it, I felt bloated and have been experiencing abdominal discomfort and an upset stomach since."

"Upon arrival we were shown to our room which was very pleasant. The snug was very snug which seemed more of a meeting point for gossiping staff behind the bar and their friends. The meal was nice enough albeit almost thrown onto the table in a rush, the service was appalling. Very slow, our bottle of wine sat on the bar for ages with no sign of staff aware of it, eventually we took it ourselves. We asked for a port twice to go with our cheese but finished the cheese before the staff even got their act together to take the bottle from the shelf (we cancelled the port). We were not approached again for coffee or anything else, we left the restaurant and retired to our room. The staff seemed to be drifting around in the three separate restaurant rooms with no clear idea of who was doing what. The management was very poor. I wouldn’t say they were under staffed just poorly managed. The bedroom was very noisy from the bar downstairs, scraping tables and chairs in the afternoon through to late evening. We made a coffee in the room to find there wasn’t any sugar and no means of getting any unless we dressed ourselves again the go to the bar. Breakfast was poor, very dry toast, sloppy undercooked boiled egg and the garden breakfast which claimed to have halloumi cheese was substituted with a rather nasty looking black pudding. All in all a very disappointing visit and an expensive one at that."

"Booked and asked for a nice table. Spot on lovely big table in the corner. Perfect for the family. Carvary was excellent. Lovely play area for children well thought of. Toilets were spotless. Staff very friendly and welcoming. . Plenty of seating area and a cosy feel for the evening meals which def would love to try the Thai. Definitely recommend we will be back. Thank you all"

"A regular customer here, but I've noticed some people who patronise the bar are less than desirable. This evening expecting a quiet meal we had to put up with a foul mouthed idiot shouting profanity for all to hear. Sad thing is he seemed to think he had a right to do it and the hard pressed bar staff seemed reluctant to intervene. It's a business folks and we'll be taking ours elsewhere from now on."

"I had my wedding reception here a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't recommend the place enough! From the minute we decided that The Cottage was the place to have the reception everything was perfect, Karen who saw us through all the organising and arranging was a star she made everything simple and took care of everything to make my life a little easier. The food was absolutely amazing I can't thank the chefs enough, it was beautiful and all the guests were happy too! The service we received through the wedding breakfast and through the evening was 5 star Karen and Sasha were brilliant serving all 54 guests and doing a brilliant job of it. Not one hitch. Not one one unhappy guest. Again thank you all for making our day and we promise we'll be back for your amazing food soon!!"
