Stopped in for a quick drink after a walk around Rutland Water. Nice and cosy pub, extensive wine list and hubby said pint was great

This is a very traditional English pub, not far from Rutland Water. The food was good and reasonably priced and the staff were very attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and drinks. A great stop off if you are in the area. Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options on the menu. Parking: There is a good sized parking area next to the pub. Price per person: £10–20

Nice little find here, we visited mid afternoon and so there were few visitors at the time, hence the slightly low mark for atmosphere. Staff were lovely, good selection of wines and beers. The menu was pretty good and food was excellent, well presented, freshly cooked. Decent sized car park, easy access for all.
