"We had a wonderful meal today, the food was really good, especially the cheesy garlic bread! The only downside was the waitress. Firstly she gave us our cutlery but placed them down holding both forks and knives on the end we eat from. I did say you shouldn’t be touching that end as that’s where we eat from and she didn’t respond or offer replacement cutlery so we cleaned them ourselves. Then she served the meal and her pandora bracelet was dangling in my food as she lent across me to place my food down. Lastly it may sound petty but I was already quite annoyed by now. The table near us was cleared and she offered them the desert menu, she then came to us cleared our plates but no desert menu was offered to us, which made me think she was put out that I had raised my concerns about the cutlery initially. I run a pub myself so my advice would be for the staff to have some training on hospitality and catering. When you’re paying £45 for two for a one course meal and drinks I would expect better service. Top marks to the chef though, the food was faultless and the front of house blonde lady was friendly and professional."

.and we all had a wonderful time. In view of the difficulties that so many pubs and restaurants have today down in the southwest, these young (mainly galaxy) have made exceptionally good; on a party of 8 adults and 4 children can be a challenge to the best times. as it was, not only the traditional pub grub was excellent, but it was all hot and at the same time a trick that no more than a few businesses take off. given a breathtaking location, a dash of old world charm, a fine selection of ales and a decent weinlist, they could not really ask for more. many thanks again we will be back.
