Wow! What friendly awesome attentive service. Had the Sunday Roast, what a wide choice of meat and vegetables. The quality , taste and presentation busted my expectations. Well done The Village Inn team. I will definitely be back. You have done an awesome job of turning this place around.

Having just moved to the village, I came here to try their wares. Served by the beautiful, friendly and delightful Jodie. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt very welcomed. I ate the liver and bacon, it was soo good, it took me back to my youth. Can't wait to eat here again. This is now my local boozer, the beer is a canny drop.

We spent a few evenings here on our Christmas holidays.. What lovely welcoming landlords! We felt so welcome and part of the community and the food was fab! Our dog has limited mobility therefore needs a pushchair... The whole walk up to and into the pub was easily accessible making our trip even better! We can't wait to come back! Voir le carte

Went in for a drink and decided to book for the Tuesday after new years, the lady took our details including telephone number all good, arrived on the tues and the pub was in darkness no telephone call to say why, no reply to my messages just outright rude surely you know you’re going to be closed so why take the booking? And to not reply! Will definitely not recommend this place

We visited here for the first time on Boxing day with family and had a really great meal. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and there was plenty of choice on the lunch menu from baguettes to jackets and burgers, all at very reasonable prices see photo) . Portions were very generous and everything was delicious. My toddler grandson decided he wanted a banana for lunch and the landlord went off to find him one, which was so kind. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Having read the excellent reviews of the pub and the new owners and not having been in for years, we decided to call in for lunch yesterday. Having got our drinks we asked for the menu. We were asked if we had pre-booked, which we hadn't. There were only a handful of people in the pub.It was just after one o'clock and we were told that they were not intending doing any more cooking!! So we had our drinks and went to our usual pub and were made most welcome, as usual. Sorry but we will not be back. Voir le carte

We have lived in the area for 3 years but never been here before. The place has been revamped with a simple clean decor style and a few steam punk light fitings. Arrived at 14:45 for lunch. Barman checked what was still available . We choose baguettes. They arrived with a portion of tortilla chips and intreguing tasty side salad. Very good value for money we only needed a boiled egg for supper. Tea served as pot, coffe comes in cafetiere, both good. Very dog friendly and it has a pool table in the room area away from the eating area. Will go back again. Big car park but only 2 min walk from seafront. Will go back again

Stopped in for a roast here last Sunday while out on a walk. The new owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the pub is very dog friendly (treats on the bar as a welcome). The bar itself is clean and fresh looking and love the steam punk theme decor throughout giving the place as clean and fun vibe. Up and coming events advertised as you walk in with lots appearing to be going on. Food was fantastic with very generous portions and plates were nice and hot. Lots of meat on the plate and tonnes of veg offered aswell. Very reasonably priced, great value for money. Would highly recommend. Tried to book before but was fully booked but today was our lucky day. Never been before but heard the Roast was good. It was excellent, plenty of meat we were offered a selection of 3 different meats, also told we could have more than one meat. We had beef and Turkey. Beautifully presented 3 large Roast .potatoes with gravy and the meat neatly laid over the potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding filled with stuffing placed on the top. Veg selection Veg not over cooked at all! cauliflower Cheese, green beans,carrots,red cabbage, swede and honey glazed parsnips. Plates piping hot with a gray boat too, all for £13.95.
