Stayed 2nights can't fault anything friendly staff were brilliant ,rooms spotless and very cosy, food excellent through out definitely will be going back in the near future.

Nice pub atmosphere. Good pub grub. Plenty of choice on the menu, something to suit everyone in our large group. Large portion size and reasonable prices. The service was friendly and efficient Would recommend

Called into the Turks head after reading positive reviews on trip advisor was not disappointed. Everything is homemade and arrived at the table in good time, no fancy stuff just good old English food. Can’t wait until our next visit. Voir le carte

My husband and I had an excellent evening here. The food was delicious (fish and chips followed by syrup sponge and custard) and the atmosphere was amazing. We were welcomed by the locals and had such a fun evening. What a lovely friendly local pub.

I had another fantastic experience at The Turks Head. The rooms are beautifully furnished and cozy, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pub has a great atmosphere and the locals are also very friendly. I can't wait to return in the new year.

We went as a large family group and were well looked after by the staff and we all enjoyed our food. All the pub classics were on the menu and the staff were knowledgable about gluten and lactose intolerances. My wife and I plan to have a wee holiday in Northumberland in October and will definitely come back to the Turks Head. Voir le carte

We popped in here on the off chance for some food and were so pleased we did. They were able to accommodate us and our 2 dogs with no issues. The restaurant area is cosy and a great vibe. My partner who is gluten free and vegetarian was able to get a great meal while I went for the quintessential Northern meal of mince and dumplings, it was fantastic and all reasonably priced, would definitely come again

We recently had a fantastic New Year stay at The Turks. We encountered a minor issue with our room but were promptly moved to a different room, which we found to be excellent. The quality of breakfast and the meals we had during our stay were top-notch. We highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips and the Mince with dumplings. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful break.

I decided to stop in for lunch at this restaurant after not visiting for years. I opted for my favorite dish, mince and dumplings, which was perfect for the cold winter day. The portion size was generous, leaving little room for vegetables in the bowl with the mince and dumplings. The food was served hot on a heated plate and everything was exceptional. Despite feeling full, I decided to order sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was delicious, but I regretted ordering it as I was too full to finish it. Voir le carte
