The Summerhouse - Menu

I went to the summer house and as soon as I walked into the door the staff were inviting. The food was fresh and presented amazing. Overall I would recommend this pub and would tell everyone to try it.

visited here once again food was fantastic cottage pie was beautiful along with the fish and chips the service and staff were so friendly we’ve been several times now since new ownership and it had been great

First time here since new owners took over and it’s brilliant. Warm welcome. Great waiting staff. Food was superb and plenty off it. The apple and blackberry crumble was the best I’d had since I was a kid. Would recommend to anyone and will be back

Was perfect, food was lovely and hot. Presentation was fantastic. Staff are lovely and friendly. The young lady that helped us with the menu and cleared the tables was brilliant, an absolute credit to the team. A well run family pub definitely worth a visit!! We will be back

Went with family for meal, staff were lovely and the food was great. I had the Cajun sizzler which was presented beautifully, nice to see a pub push the boat out as other pubs in the area don't go to so much effort. The dinning area was very clean and the atmosphere very welcoming and homely. Will definitely be returning and I highly recommend!

Since the new owners have taken over the food and service has gone downhill. Owner sitting on stool on her phone. No customer service. Served with 2 fish and chip dinners and to say the dish was well over cooked is an understatement! Another cottage pie was tasteless and family member was ill next day. Besides this, we were overcharged by £30! Staff didn’t notice until it was pointed out to them and refund given. Will not be returning.

Started well, helpful service, staff nice enough, very pleasant. Food ordered and reasonable waiting time. Food was hot, reasonable portion for most of the meals, fish n chips, was small fish portion tiny but nice crispy batter with small potion of chips. But ok, went to order deserts, well you will have to be quick as I have to take my little boy to 'walk in centre ' and we will have to close the pub !!!!, well ok, go to the 'walk in centre, and leave the staff to do their job. If its urgent medical treatment why have you not gone already ? Its no wonder there was no other diners in the room ! Customer 1st every time otherwise you are in the wrong job !

Had a impromptu celebration and Amy and the Team were able to accommodate and all of us were impressed with the food, and service at a very reasonable rate and will most definately back to try some More of the menu in particular the freshly made pizza offering ! The steak was perfectly cooked and showed you dont need to go miller and carter for a quality meal. One of our party is veggie and the options and the meal She had was fantastic. I dont hve the words to describe how lush the pudds were so you’ll just have to try one. Service wise, the ladies working couldnt be more friendly towards us and made us most welcome even though they were busy nothing was too much trouble. Look foward to ano...

A bit shocked today been for Sunday lunch for the first time since take over. Was a bit shocked we were told not booked in but this was not a surprise to the owner as She said she had 15 others that were also booked but not in the book. Agreed to seat us but needed our table back by 5 . Fine this was at 3.30 by 4 had no menu given to us and a young girl said are you ok. We said we had not been given a menu and then got told I will give you a menu but go to the bar and order. No problem. What happened to the Service we used to have. Seemed to me the new owner wanted the customers but with No service. So many girls behind the bar but no personnel service. Every customer that had the Sunday lun...
