"it's been a couple of years since I checked this place and after reading a recent bad review of Sunday dinner I felt that I should make the balance again. I myself, my man and friends plus my little dog) were on this day together with many other people there I always find that Sunday dinner is the meal, so many are wrong. this place is definitiv not one of them. we travel a mile trip to go there and I always say that it is worthwhile only for the gravur alone. this is the best house cooked lunch that I have never had in a pub / restaurant bar. several times I was and never anything else than satisfied with the meals. to say that the meal is salty and edible is only so far from reality. eating is really seasoned and every dish I have ever tasted here is a joy. I'm not easy to please, but this place ticks every box and if I had a wish, it would be that this place was in front of my doorstep. add them to two owners who can't do enough for them and friendly wait staff who consistently ask if everything is okay, it's the business. Finally, it is clean, friendly, dog friendly and the best eating out there."

This is the best Christmas lunch around. the cabbage and leek is world wide. Best Xmas Dinner every thing is hot and nothing is too much trouble

Fantastic warm welcome for us and the dogs. We were early for dinner but hungry so they kindly opened the kitchen for us. Excellent food in a cosy setting. We would highly recommend.

Sadly the attitude of the gentleman (I use that term lightly) behind the bar was not very nice. He snapped at someone who asked for a tea, saying he does not employ a barista. He was very short with us when we asked a question, we left and went elsewhere

Such a lovely pub! The owners were so friendly, chatty and welcoming with us and our two boys and made us feel extremely welcome. Their dogs were great! Fitted 6 of us in at last minute. Food was amazing, quick and tasty, staff were great. Would deffo recommend Voir le carte

visited as a family on a Saturday night. ground for stars: the service was very slow, the young lady who served us was not a natural person and left us for a very long time. both steaks were boiled over and on such a small plate that all the other food was completely over them. very ancient fashion pub but I wouldn't be back.

We had a dining voucher as a Wedding Gift for the Stumble Inn, we live locally and have dined before…but not on a Sunday Lunch. The menu was appealing and lots of good choice , today we opted for the breaded mushrooms it was tasty indeed, hot, plenty of (strong) garlic mayonnaise and a colourful side salad. Main course we had a Lamb Roast a Beef Roast outstanding plates, meats tender and melt in the mouth with roasties and a carrot swede mash. Good portions of side vegetables also, flavoursome and plentiful. Staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. Prices very reasonable and fitting for the current food costs situation nationwide.
