The Ship Inn - Carte

Just off the main road thoroughly recommend this pub for excellent range of well cooked pub grub. Good range of ales nice outside seating albeit quite busy whenever we visited recommend booking in advance.

Went with my wife for her birthday and had a great meal. Liver and bacon, and bass. Portions generous and the quality was high. Service was friendly, without being overbearing. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just gets better and better always friendly staff who give you the time of day and will sort out any issue you might have, tasty food and good portions, with intodays climate value for money prices. Have changed to our favourite from The Smugglers Voir le carte

We called in for a drink and we’re blown away by the pub, it’s like being on the deck of a ship. We decided to go for our last night meal in Dawlish Warren. The atmosphere in the pub is great, staff very attentive and the food was lovely. Would recommend for any fish/seafood lover

This charming village pub is a favorite among locals and has been recognized in both the Good Pub Guide and Good Beer Guide. It's an ideal spot to bring our American visitors, with delicious pub food, a cozy log fire, and a welcoming atmosphere for dogs. We were lucky to visit on Saturday, as the pub unfortunately experienced storm damage the next day. We wish them a fast reopening!

While the soup was enjoyable, it was served with a small roll that appeared to have been heated in the microwave. I had to pay an additional £1.90 for two more rolls, which were also microwaved by a young boy. For a price of £5.95, I was hoping for a more substantial dish than just a small breakfast roll. This experience has unfortunately deterred me from returning to the restaurant. Voir le carte

The Ship is our choice of eateries in the area, been coming for many years. The service, food and consistency is all that you desire. We had the fish and chips….to die for, absolutely delicious. They have a comprehensive, variable menu to suit all palates. The staff are admirable and the Ship owners should be proud of them. I am a Dawlish resident for the past 26 years and this beats the rest.

Had a lovely meal with my middle daughter on Tuesday evening. Sat in the bar as it was busy in restaurant. Had a lovely meal each, I had Rump steak and my daughter gammon. The bread/Roll and oil we had for starter was lovely and warm and delicious. Was a nice and relaxing atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble. Was very nice seeing Tom who I knew from a bar in Dawlish a few years ago behind the Bar, so was nice to catch up. Barbara and daughter Karen B Will go again.

During our stay at a holiday park in Dawlish, we decided to dine out for a meal after a long day. We arrived at The Ship at 6:30 pm and were lucky to snag one of the few remaining tables in the bustling pub, which was fully booked. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed some drinks. The special of the day was a delicious oxtail stew with vegetables and mashed potatoes. My daughter opted for a burger, which was not your average burger - it was loaded with cheese, bacon, gherkins, and an onion ring, served with homemade slaw.
