"Previously visited the Queen 's Head in July 2023, for lunch with friends. At the time we all thought it was a lovely pub, good service and food, helpful staff. We visited today 14th June 2024 and were disappointed. The staff did their jobs and were polite and thankfully not over effusive that 's a positive in my book. There was a VERY limited choice of draft bitter only Doombar, in fact. As for the food.... I had soup which was watery and lacked flavour. I don 't know, but it tasted like it had recently inhabited a tin! The toasted bread and butter had a suggestion of garlic butter but was served with a small pat of butter. Not sure what that 's about! My friend and I had schnitzels which were dry and chewy the portion of chips was economical and the salad little more than a suggestion. The coffee I had was good though and piping hot. If I 'd been served this meal in a Wetherspoons, I 'd have rated it adequate but for an independent pub I wasn 't impressed. As an aside, I noticed that the smallish car park had plenty of space last year I got the last space. In fairness, that could be coincidence but it was a Friday lunchtime. This pub is s bit like my old school reports could do better ....and it used to!"

Lovely pub in a rural spot, they do a great roast dinner on Sundays, the staff were great.

The food was really tasty, and service was second to none by the waitresses Georgia and Emma. Would highly recommend this pub.

Excellent dinner, warm welcome with brilliant customer service which is getting rarer. The food choice was wide for a Tuesday night the pub was busy which speaks volumes these days. Will be going back as it was so good.

Absolutely fantastic! Fabio is fabulous his hospitality is soooo amazing he always makes us feel soooo welcome! The food is always 1st class my late father introduced me this wonderful, historic pub in the ‘70’s to date Fabio extends the Queen’s Head quality high standard…. My partner David, who lives in Essex is custom to many high end eateries, always requests to eat here…. Thank you Fabio team !

A wonderful pub with such friendly staff and amazing food. Fabian runs a fantastic country pub. He is always welcoming and friendly. Great food with all different types of food. Delicious fresh ingredients every time. I live locally and it has such a homely feeling to it. Nice clientele as well. Highly recommend. Special mention to Emma, mundi. Valerie and daisy. Always know what drink to serve. No waiting at the bar .
