"We arrived, this evening, table booked for 7.30, we were a little early, greeted, by a lovely colleague, he showed us to our table, we ordered our drinks, from a really lovely young woman, the main course drew our attention, Venison, with fondant potatoes and...calvo nero, with carrot puree. absolutely lovely, such a change from having to cook, desert for me, was the snikers brownie, really filling and sweet, however, it was a cheat night!!!!. We had a lovely evening, the colleagues could not have been more helpful and welcoming, We will see you soon. x"

Friendly efficient staff. Quick service. Good quality food nicely presented. Slightly over priced but nice sea view.

Unfortunately, the restaurant by the beach has closed, it was the top pub-restaurant on the island. It was also a stunning spot to enjoy the sea view.

I was thrilled to see my favorite pub and brewery reopen. The beer was excellent. I haven't had a chance to try the food yet, but many people were dining today and I didn't hear any complaints.

Service and venue good. In fact service was excellent. But I ordered the Wild Atlantic pizza which was supposed to include clams and octopus. Instead I was served up a pizza comprising a few frozen mussels, small prawns and squid rings. Voir le carte

Staff and venue very nice but food very poor. Menu not much choice and very expensive for what you get. Chips cold and went back. Cheese board well you had to hunt for the cheese for £10.50. No mints or chocs with the bill. Will...not be returning.

A large group of us went for our Christmas get together meal. We were seated far too close together for comfort. I was also disappointed that sauces were already on the meals rather than in separate pots. I left a lot of my main meal...because of the cranberry sauce coffee about in various places.

The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant areas are clean and inviting, with beautiful Christmas decorations adding to the atmosphere. Our party of four included four generations and there was something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant overlooks the beach and has plenty of parking available. Voir le carte

We haven’t been to this lovely pub/restaurant since before lockdown, so it was great to see the renovated bar dining area. We had excellent service from a young team who were friendly, accommodating, efficient professional. Thank you Amber for arranging my chips to...be “not in a (gimmicky) basket” alongside my tasty Cod sweet garden peas!!! A great venue with no noisy children running around. Food was lovely and we will return to try your pizzas…Great Service!!!

came to an impromptu lunch yesterday and was really impressed. the coworkers were all very attentive (also the lad picking glasses took a coffee order from us)The eating came fast and was pissed hot. my man had the sausages and maic, which came with three good sizes. shot, mash and inherited and I had sampi and chips. all cooked and I just left a few chips so much for me. unfortunately we had no place for pud! would recommend def and if we ever get back in the opposite, we will certainly go back. well done to all employees.

"Having been to the Phoenix several times and I believe, this to be my second average review of the food and service, you 'd think they would have taken heed, but clearly not. Firstly, like most top end restaurants in London, they are reserving the right to charge for no shows £20 per head). But, what they are also doing, which is very unfair, is charging you for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking at £10 per head. If one or more of our friends had fallen ill over night it 's the flu season at the moment), they would have been were forced to go for an expensive average Sunday lunch, whilst spreading their germs to the other diners. It also poses the question, what would some do if you book a table less than 24 hours like we did) and then decide to cancel? The excuse that orders for food have already been placed doesn 't really hold water. The Sunday menu forces you to order a minimum of 2 courses at £34 per head. Some of the top London restaurants are charging less for far more opulent Sunday roasts e.g. the Jugged Hare at the Barbican). The Sunday lunch served was simply very average and not value for money. Finally, why are the desserts here, always consistently so bad? I ordered a baked cheesecake and got cream squirted on a piece of cake. When I asked what I had been served, I was told it was chef 's interpretation of a cheesecake. The menu clearly stated baked cheesecake. Not even in my wildest dreams can you interpret a baked cheesecake as a piece of cake with creamed squirted on it! This was promptly returned and replaced with a vile chocolate tart, with pastry so hard I couldn 't cut into it without the fear of smashing the plate it was served on. The chocolate was over salted and the chantilly cream served with it unsweetened. Save your money, go elsewhere."
