Excellent meal, friendly staff, reasonable prices. The biggest and best burger I have ever tasted

Very comfortable. Good food. Excellent service. Attentive and helpful staff. Very convenient with easy parking.

Very overpriced. The barman who obviously didn't gave a clue asked me if I wanted a pint glass for my double vodka and coke. How do these places survive?

I arranged a large group dinner for 32 people here, the second time we have met here. As previously, the food and service was excellent and everyone was happy.

Evening meal. Huge portions and could t eat it all nice whitebait and old fashioned mushrooms on toast. Really good gluten free fish and chips and enormous burger

We stayed for one night, with breakfast, and had a really enjoyable stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the entire inn was full of character. Breakfast was super tasty. A great overnight stay.

We were stranded in Royston on our way from London to Norwich. While waiting for the RAC we not only enjoyed an excellent meal but were made welcome to stay as long as we needed to until the mechanic arrived. Thank you!

Lovely old Inn in the centre of Royston. The staff were terrific. Helpful and very friendly. Serving Abbot ale was a massive plus, as was the sun blazing down in the lovely courtyard. I suspect being a major listed building changes are difficult to achieve but it’s a great historic place for a visit.

Attended a family funeral in Royston, and Old Bull was competively priced compared to the chains who were much further away. The room was comfortable clean and had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, and biscuits. My wife is pretty noise sensitive, so with traditional sash windows and our room being over the outdoor seating area was the downside. The welcome at breakfast and excellent food coffee was positive. Free car park and central location make it hard to beat for the price. Would stay again.
