"Firstly we were a little disappointed to find that dogs aren’t allowed in as we have found so many dog friendly places during our stay in Weymouth, having said that the place was recommended so we went to the takeaway window, there were plenty of benches outside and they were clean but it was a windy day so we decided to take our order back to the car. We both decided on the fresh crab sandwich which according to the menu board came with crisps. We both thought at £12.50 each it was a little on the expensive side and because of that our expectations were high. What was given to us resembled something that you would find on the shelves at your local Tesco. 2 pieces of malted bread, brown unappetising crab meat, a small sliver of mayonnaise and no salad, presented in a plastic box. There were also no crisps which when queried we were told that takeaway doesn’t come with crisps but that’s fine because it’s cheaper. Certainly didn’t feel cheaper at £27 for 2 sandwiches and 2 soft drinks £11.25 a sandwich). Once we got back to the car we came to the realisation that we’d been ripped off and returned for a refund which was promptly given. In summary, if you want value for money avoid like the plague."

Only needed coffees but food looked and smelt delicious. Service was quick and the cafe is clean with welcoming staff. Nice little shop too.

I highly recommend this restaurant for its lovely, relaxed atmosphere and superb view overlooking Portland Bill. The food was delicious, and although you are paying for the view, it is definitely worth it.

If you are going to visit Portland Bill then take a picnic rather than pay the extortionate prices for dreadful food served here. Staff were lovely, service was fine but what they had to serve was poor quality. Voir le carte

We stopped here for lunch after a walk around the coast. We’ve eaten here several times over the years and it has always been good. The staff are friendly and the views are fantastic. The service is efficient and our meals were lovely.

Located at the end of Portland near the lighthouse, this restaurant is a delightful place to dine. The staff provided excellent service and the restaurant was spotless. The food was delicious and offered at a fair price. I highly recommend this restaurant.

After a windy walk around the lighthouse area, we stopped at this restaurant with 4 adults and 5 children, 2 needing highchairs. The staff were extremely accommodating, especially with our menu requests for the kids and a vegetarian. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Fabulous setting and great service. £14-£16 for main course: Haddock and Gammon excellent, burgers disappointing (simple bread paid extra for cheap cheese! , salmon ok. Chips underwhelming sadly. Salad plain but with egg. And Dorset Apple Cake lacked apple! Overall for the prices we expected better quality. But the setting is very special, looking on to the Race.

We ate here 2 years ago on New Year’s Day and the food has not changed it is just as good!! There is a great choice of hot and cold food on the menu. We had fish and chips and lasagna and all 3 dishes were great. We also had puddings and the sundae’s were amazing. The service was great as the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to eat and reasonably priced food!
