"It was good to start the New Year in the cosy renovated Victorian pub that is the King’s Head in the sleepy suburb of Teddington. It is part of the olde English gastropub empire of Raymond Blanc whose menus have long since fused no doubt on the grounds of economy and efficiency either those at his brasseries. There was a 50% discount on mains for the whole of January which felt like a belated Christmas present of the likes of smoked pork ribeye, beef burger on a brioche bun preceded by a cheese soufflé (so popular are these that barely a table missed at least one order) or an equally retro prawn and crayfish cocktail. A treat to bring in the New Year."

We booked for a family lunch on a busy Saturday. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food better than the average pub grub. No complaints and we will definitely return.

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant were excellent, but the portion size for adults was very small. Additionally, the price of a 330 ml bottle of Coca Cola was nearly £4, which we found to be ridiculously expensive.

My husband and I chose this restaurant for a Valentine's Day lunch as part of our Golden Wedding anniversary celebrations (we were married in 1974). The atmosphere and food were fantastic. However, we found the wine to be a bit overpriced.

Fab pub, we had Friday dinner in the restaurant but pub front also booked up for dinner. Everything was top pub food, good servive and just a good feel all round. We are coming back to Teddington to do Bushy Pk park run and definately coming back here.

Beware very, very poor allergy information on the menu. I tasted my friend's pistachio soufflé and to my horror realised too late that it contained cocoa at the bottom of the dish. I am allergic to cocoa which causes severe migraines. It's a common allergen and should be clearly indicated on the menu.

We had a wonderful family birthday dinner at this restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service provided by the staff was exceptional. The decor and layout of the restaurant are very inviting. This gastro pub stands out from others I have visited. It is definitely worth a visit and we will definitely be returning.
