The bathroom was a bit tired, toilet roll holder hanging off the wall, the shower holder, broken, both of them but the room was nice super soft bed and generous tea/coffee facility's. The staff are so nice and very helpful. Good parking at the rear besides the rooms. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5

What a beautiful place to stay, in such a beautiful location. Staff were wonderful. I arrived just after the kitchen shut but the lovely chef said he'd make me something I enjoyed a lovely Sausage mash in such a historic building. Rooms were spacious and clean. Charming hotel with friendly staff and a top-notch breakfast. I stayed while attending a friend's wedding in the chapel and I'd highly recommend staying here if you're doing the same. We went for a Champagne afternoon tea. It was a gift from our daughter, and what a lovely present it was. Tea or coffee, dainty sandwiches, and yes they did have the crusts removed. Scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream and then very yummy cakes. Thank you to all. After we had a slow walk around Amersham Old Town, and took some time sitting on a bench in the Memorial Gardens. The rooms at this restaurant are beautiful and the location is lovely, being so close to London. We paid slightly more at 148 pounds a night, but I assume prices are generally higher in this area compared to the west country where I live. The food and drink selection was good, the rooms were comfortable, and the service was satisfactory. The highlight of the hotel was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

The hotel room was generally okay and the breakfast was decent, although it took some time to get used to. We had originally booked at a different hotel, but had to move for one night due to a nobleman visiting. We were told that the taxi and hotel room were already paid for, but upon arrival we were asked to pay again, which was confusing. We paid a second time and later found out that the other hotel had already covered it. The receptionist was extremely unfriendly and insisted that we hadn't paid, despite us having a receipt.
