"this was our first visit to the horse jockey who had missed the round a few times. but it was good to wait! the restaurant is light airy, the seating comfortable. the menu and the supportive “Specials menu” are both imaginatiw and more conservative flavors. we chose the steak pipe with maic carrying vegetables were warned by a delay to heat the cake. we managed to resist the starter, as we both have smaller appetite, but the cake was worth waiting for it. packed with delicate tasty steak, moist succulent! the puff bakery topping was perfect. the helpers were just the right size to make the pudding menu a challenge. but we managed a delicious coffee brûlée with ice cream. we accompanied the meal with elderflower minerals, which were appreciated the entire meal for two under 50 £. we have experienced the best pub lunch. this beautiful place where the service is also of the highest standard, we highly recommend."

Popped in for a few drinks and stayed for a meal the garden was so lovely this afternoon. Stunning rack of beef followed by Creme Catalan. Lovely country setting, dog friendly and superb staff and landlords. Thank you

I never leave reviews however, BEST. ROAST DINNER EVER! The ambience is really nice, enhanced by the attentive staff. I understand the pub has been taken over recently so cannot comment on what it was like before but I will definitely be making this a regular.

Excellent food! Superb, compliments to the chef. Pleasant decor.Waiter, whilst courteous needs to be more personable rather than just going through the motions.Lady waitress had good person skills.Rather than just single paper menus would be good to put in a folder or laminate.Candle and floral display nice touch on table. Poor and uninviting exterior.However,this establishment could be a real gem.

Ate here for the first time tonight and can honestly say it was the best meal we have had in a long time. There were so many lovely things on the menu I was spoilt for choice. I chose the vegetarian pastry parcel which was so tasty. My husband had mussels and then the fish stew which he said were both delicious. There were 6 of us and everyone loved their meal. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We will definitely be back. 5
