"Have been several times and it has always been excellent overall. However this Sunday lunch today was rather underwhelming something was missing and I’m not sure what it was, have they become a victim of their own success like so many good, new, eateries? The starters were tasty but not at the level of previous visits, same for mains too. Our main courses of half pot roasted pheasant were very tough they should’ve melted in the mouth if roasted slowly which clearly they were not. With hindsight we should’ve rejected them and chosen another dish, but with friends joining us for a birthday meal it would’ve held up their main courses. I mentioned this twice to different staff members who asked, but with not much comment but, that ‘they’d relay it to the chef.’ Puddings, again, were not as good as previously ‘heavy ginger sponge’ (my wife’s comment) and a very sweet cows curd and honey glazed walnuts concoction that I had. Was is just because of Sunday service, was the chef ‘off’ his game or was it a sous chef standing in?? Is it really too much to ask of a bill for £260.00? Disappointing."

This restaurant is a hidden gem with a concise menu, but the food is top-notch. Expect to spend between £70-80 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a 5-star rating.

The menu is fantastic, offering a variety of dishes that make you want to try everything. The selection is short but unique, sourced from great importers. This country pub has quickly become my new favorite spot. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5. Voir le carte

The Greyhound pub is a hidden gem with a picturesque setting, delicious food, and excellent beer. It's perfect to visit in both summer and winter. The average cost per person is £30-40 with top ratings for food, service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the Pigeon Terrine with Pickled Walnuts, as well as the Pumpkin Agnolotti with Sage Butter.

Had the most excellent dinner here. Often struggle for really good food in the area, especially in a pub setting, but this was truly excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu is small but with a lovely selection of slightly different dishes all very carefully thought through and executed perfectly. I will absolutely be coming back. Price per person: £50–60

"This wasn’t our first visit (the previous occasion was more positive than this) but this was really quite poor. Problem after problem, service was poor and just not very welcoming. Firstly, drinks weren’t available issues with draft, but then bottles weren’t available either. So there was a very limited selection of drinks on offer and the staff weren’t proactive in advising what was available. So it was request and receive a no! Secondly, the food was poor. The starters were shocking. Really quite bad. There was a bit of redemption from some of the mains, but we elected to not proceed with anything else as it wasn’t great. We had to wait ages for drinks and foods to arrive despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty and many staff present. Frequently there were 3 staff at the back of the room standing about chatting, but they weren’t attentive to our needs. They didn’t check around the room to see if guests required additional drinks or require plates clearing. They didn’t check to see how the food was and when we complained regarding a starter they simply didn’t know how to handle it. When the draft beer came back on there was no proactive behaviour in returning to the table and letting us know so that more drinks could be ordered. Drinks were poured in wrong glasses, plates were cleared whilst people were still eating and then not cleared when they needed to be! Simply put the staff working had no idea on what table service should be perhaps they had received no training which is a major failing when the restaurant is part of a hotel. It was not welcoming. The restaurant was freezing cold. The service was really very poor and the food disappointing. They also don’t take dogs which in Aldeburgh is a bit weird. There is plenty of space and the tables are large so they would not be in the way. We won’t be returning."
