Gaggle Of Geese - Carte

I stayed in the "Birdie" Shepard's hut at Gaggle for two nights and found it to be very well-equipped and clean. The grounds were great for my dog to run around in. I had dinner at Gaggle of Geese both nights and the food was excellent. I will definitely be returning!

the first time that we have visited here since the renewal and it is nice . we had sunday roasts, which was the best roast we had since absolute times. personal very friendly and gf was no problem. compliments to the chef, perfect. Outside...is amazing, camping, brain huts etc.. absolutely brilliant. in any case worth a visit. good made gaggle by geese

Came for Sunday lunch for the first time and had a lovely visit. The staff were really friendly, the atmosphere was really relaxed and the Sunday roast was brilliant fantastic value for money. Probably the best roast we’ve had since moving to the area...two years ago. Loads to do outside for the kids, even the dogs had a lovely time. Can’t wait to visit again! Just returned from a two night stay in the Birdie shepherds hut and it is such a quiet and relaxing place to be. Waking up to bird song was very special and it is lovely to get away from it all. The hut has everything...you need for breakfast and the evening meals at the pub are delicious. There are good walks without the need to drive anywhere and the accommodation and pub are both dog-friendly. A brilliant place to relax and recharge the batteries .

This pub/restaurant pretends to be something it is not. It attempts to be a gastro pub serving homemade pies, but we cannot recall anything memorable about the food. The menu is lacking for anyone who is not a meat-eater. The most memorable dish was a bland chili served with stale tortilla chips. Overall, it seems like the chef lacks effort in preparing the food. The prices are high for the quality. We only dined here for a family event and do not plan on returning.

Having recently moved to the village, we took a visiting friend out for supper at the Gaggle of Geese and what a delight! A gorgeous pub, such welcoming staff, and our young server was super friendly, smiley and helpful, and we were made to...feel extremely welcome. The food was delicious, perfect portions and cooked to perfection. I can’t recommend this pub and it’s food enough. We’ll certainly be bringing all our weekend guests over, and in the meantime, look forward to popping in again very soon. Thanks to all for a lovely evening Voir le carte

We stayed overnight in our motorhome at this charming rural spot and were treated to an amazing night sky free of light pollution. The pub was fantastic, with a friendly welcome from the landlord and delicious food. We tried the steak and it was cooked perfectly, served with a delectable sauce. One of my pet peeves is pubs that serve frozen chips, but here they served "proper chips". It was quiet during our visit, likely because it was a weekday in February. We anticipate the pub gets busier during the summer months, so booking a table in advance is recommended.

We stayed for a couple of nights in Birdie, the shepherds hut, it was super comfortable, clean and perfect for a short break away from it all We had a stack of wood for the fire pit (along with marshmallows to toast) We ate in...the pub on Sunday night, the Trio of roast meats, despite a large party ordering all their food before us, we didn’t wait and the food was excellent, certainly worth more than the menu price We based ourselves for walking, and the location was perfect for this, our dog also enjoyed the stay I couldn’t recommend this place enough, as a pub, restaurant and a place to stay

We stayed for a couple of nights in Bumble the Shepherds Hut for families. We got a warm and friendly welcome from Simon and Sarah and their beautiful dog Aggie! The hut was gorgeous, cosy with great amentities and a welcome pack of local produce...which was lovely. The beds were so comfortable and so warm. The only downside was no telephone reception or internet access in the huts. We ate twice in the pub and the food was great. Our 11 year old loved everything about our stay, especially the goats and toasting marshmallows on the campfire! It gave us a chance without the distraction of tech to reconnect, play games, and have fun together. Voir le carte
