Really great food and our server Mark was so lovely. Recommended a stunning pie and the Snickers Tart. Would definitely recommend to anyone near.

booked table for 24 people in very short time, the staff were all very friendly, service was great and menu choices very good. we all really enjoyed eating and would like to go back there.

We visited on Saturday lunchtime and had fantastic food from an extensive menu. My frito misto with herby fries was excellent, with varied seafood. Lovely atmosphere and Mark our waiter was friendly and attentive. A touch above most food served in Cardiff pubs. Voir le carte

Fab food on the discovery. always happy every time we visit. we had a really delicate brisket of bark meat with green and a tasty beaders tart my favorite) for coming. the breadboard is always worth coming. our waiter brand was very friendly and...efficient a good one for the pub.

had a nice evening with 6 friends on Friday 4. pleasant and friendly service throughout. everyone enjoyed eating and the environment. the baked squid with glam organ sausage cake, framed rag and cahnen was absolutely delicious and one of the best dishes I put in. had a restaurant in a house. please keep it on the menu thank you.

The Discovery is the latest addition to the Knife Fork Food brand and takes its place alongside company’s other outlets, namely The Conway in Pontcanna, The Pilot in Penarth and The Old Swan Inn in Llantwit Major. Anyone familiar with The Discovery’s siblings will be immediately at home as the blackboard menu concept has been continued here along with a simpler lunch menu served between 12 and 4pm every day except Sunday. Food was good but nothing special. Service needs improving. Waitress tried to clear the plates of the two who had finished their main meal, while I was still eating, which I think is the height of rudeness. This isn’t America! She then clearly worried about...returning to the table and it took ages for her to come back, and she was embarrassed, asking ‘ have you finished eating now.’ Which came over as very sarcastic. No one offered us a dessert menu and one of us ended up going and collecting one from the bar. My family and I came here for Sunday lunch on the 16/10/22. I had heard good things about the Roast so my expectations were quite high before arriving and my expectations were certainly met! Firstly, we had a lovely Man by the name of Mark...take our orders, he was very friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Secondly, the dinner was absolutely stunning . I chose the Beef which literally melted in my mouth, accompanied by well seasoned veg and beautiful gravy. All of our meals were well enjoyed and all our plates clean.
