Quite a wait for food. Ordered rare to medium steak that came well done. Asked if the steak could be done again but was happy with rest of food, steak came back after all 5 of us had finished eating so was a poor experience

I had another fantastic experience at the restaurant. Emma provided excellent service, and her hot chocolate at the Christmas Market was truly exceptional. Food: 5 stars, Service: 5 stars, Atmosphere: 5 stars. Highly recommend the burger!

The food was decent, fairly typical, and reasonably priced. However, some of the younger staff seemed a bit inexperienced and came off as somewhat impolite. The wait time for drinks and food was quite lengthy, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. On a positive note, the recent renovations are appealing.

I visited for a Boxing Day meal, and the restaurant was quite busy. The staff needed a few reminders about our drinks, but the food was good and we had no issues there. I had a lovely experience last year on Boxing Day, but this time it felt like the atmosphere and overall flow were lacking compared to the previous year. I would consider returning, but probably not for a Boxing Day meal again.

The staff at this restaurant are fantastic, providing exceptional service and delicious food. Price per person ranges from £20 to £30. I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5, with service receiving a perfect 5. The atmosphere is also enjoyable, scoring a 4. I highly recommend trying the Mixed Grill Platter and the Peppercorn Sauce. There's plenty of parking available, and the lot offers free parking.

This is a nice pub we come here on a Sunday afternoon to have a meal and drinks but today there's a mom to be party which we didn't mind but all the people were smoking/vapouring outside by the door where we were eating then we couldn't breathe as everyone was smoking/vapour we are also 75yrs old and asthmatic so we had to go in the rain to go in one of the huts to get away from the smoke it was terrible at we can breathe while we finish our drinks...we did ask the women at the bar if they could smoke there she said they could and there was nothing she could do.

The food here is very, very good. I had Fish and chips from the lunchtime menu, and it was delicious, followed by an ice-cream sundae just ice-cream in a sundaes glass, no other ingredient or decoration. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. However, the service was really slow. From sitting down to payment was 1 hour and 50 minutes, for a main course, desert and a coffee. I appreciate that food is cooked to order, but the issue is more likely to be that there were just two table staff who were always on the go. I visited a similar establishment a week previously which was heaving , The food was good and service time was very good. But they had six staff for 20 tables. Invest in more...

Hadn’t been to this place for 30 plus years but moved back to the area and since it’s local thought I’d give it a go. What a disappointment. Took ages for the meal to be served When it did come it was cold not just “not as hot as you’d like” but cold like it had been outside. The waitresses were good and offered to re cook the whole meal for the 3 of us. But what was served up next had more akin to an elephants elbow than steak it was a third of the size of the original piece of meat and cooked so well done it was impossible to get the knife through it.
