Waited 40 minutes for a take away!!!! Was it worth the wait? NO Very nice ladies working the front of house taking orders. But I will not be going back it was tasteless Very small portions also compared to other takeaways I've used.

This was a takeaway experience rather than sit in. Chinese takeaways can be very much hit and miss depending on where you go, this place is definitely on the upper end of the scale. Pleasant service and food, exactly what you expect, also very fairly priced.

Food ordered about 7.30pm arrived when they said it would. Everything battered was soggy, the egg fried rice burnt and almost unrecognisable either visually or taste wise. It was lukewarm which was worse than being cold. When my friend bit into his prawn toast he vomited but its his belief it was the house special chou mein which made him ill. Never again! We love Sai Wu and eat there a lot. I don't know what that other review is referring to about a buffet we have been eating there for years and they have never had a buffet. The food is really delicious and there lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. We had F7 from the fusion range tonight and it was gorgeous spicy with a hint of lime. Service always good too. Lovely,friendly place to eat.

Myself and two housemates thought we would give ourselves a treat, what an awful idea. Food was cooked within unrealistic times, this shows within the quality of food. Sweet and sour sauce which tasted of pure vinegar and BBQ sauce which tasted of watered down gravy. I ordered crispy lemon chicken for myself which was chicken balls cut up with lemon flavoured water on the side. Nothing like I have ever seen before, so disappointed and will be avoiding this takeaway in the future.

My husband and I wanted a Chinese takeaway and our usual was shut. We decided to give Sai Wu a second chance wrong choice, very wrong. greasy food and watery sauces, but dry meats? We normally avoid ordering from this Chinese restaurant due to the poor treatment of staff and hygiene (numerous past staff members have disclosed their unhygienic practices). Ordered during the covid 19 pandemic so was expecting things to be a little different, so after a lovely day out we decided to order from here as a treat as we was also staying locally but wish we hadn't. We couldn't find a menu online or on their website so had to order kind of blind. The woman who took the order was a bit abrupt with correcting some of our food choices and delivery would be 45 minutes, cash only. We didnt have cash as most businesses was taking card payments only during the current situation (covid 19) so we decided to collect after finding a cash point. Ordered NYE, was advised an hour to an hour and 15 minutes wait. So we waited, arrived to collected and then waited almost another HOUR. At no point were we offered an apology, just a constant steam of excuses ,won’t be long’, ‘they are making it now’.Got home, and it was possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. Sweet and sour sauce so watery and almost vinegary it went straight in the bin. We also ordered a pot of hoi sin which was like water too. Chips over cooked. Sweet and sour chicken not crispy. Tried preordering a take away tonight as I've done here on many occasions in the past 2 years. I've had no issues prior to this evening but I was completely gobsmacked with the reaction I had over the phone. The lady taking the phone orders was extremely unhelpful and rude. She refused to take the preorder as she couldn't guarantee the order would be with us by 7.30pm. I clearly told her on more than one occasion that I understood this and had no problem with it being a little late as this has happened before.
