Friendly staff and excellent drinks. Missed out on food unfortunately : but would have probably been good : has a couple of pool tables

We travelled around Wales for two weeks and stood in Llandeilo for 1 night. So lucky to find so nice place. The staff was very welcome and friendly, food was absolutely delicious. Can't wish anything else. Highly recommended!

Shocking, absolutely awful. We pre-booked and travelled from some distance, to arrive and be told they had sold a lot of takeaway, and no Sunday dinner available. Poor attitude by staff, really didn’t care. Don’t recommend. Terrible.

A great little find. Recommended to us by a lady in a nearby convenience store. Needs a bit of updating and tlc, however, staff friendly and food tasty and good portions. A good menu board to choose from. Would recommend and visit again.

amazing! it is very rare that a pub makes her own food and cooks. hand cooked chips, amazing worth, friendly staff, which is willing to make a difference, and all meals including steak, pork and two vegan meals were on place. Many thanks for what they do, they are different from the mass and that 's why we 30 meils my birthday.

amazingly friendly pub. we feel so welcome. our dog was treated as her special hospitable, he got tasty and a bowl of water without asking for something. eating was absolutely stunning, real love for detail, only complaining is that we couldn't eat everything! fantastic value for money. can't judge high enough! we will be well done!

what a wonderful pub! eating is very valuable and generously portioned. real home baked pub duck. I had a chicken bacon and a lauch cake and it was incredibly delicious. they also have a large selection of beers. the staff were all very friendly and happy to help. they accepted a booking, although it was quiet enough that we didn't need it. the main has a tw for sport, but the restaurant is at the side, so a little quieter.

With all restaurants closed this pub was open on Sunday for pre ordered take away Sunday roasts. The food was excellent value for money (1 course, £6, 2 courses £8! and the portion sizes enormous especially for the kids. Whilst food is always different in a...plastic container the roasts were great and exactly what me and the family needed...as well as meat (three choices and potatoes (roast and mash there was a multitude of veg (peas, carrots, swede mash, carrots etc .. The puddings were ample and delightul too! So, amazing value for money and a great option if you fancy a Sunday off!

Popped in here with my family after a muddy bike ride to the castle for some lunch and was very pleasantly surprised! From the outside you might be put off by the battlecruiser look of Yr Hen Vic but don 't be. We were greeted with...a very warm welcome from the landlady and staff who allowed our furry friend in as well as allowing us to secure our bikes in one of the other rooms in the pub(despite the mud! . We were then served a proper traditional Sunday lunch with more veg than I could possibly consume and continued to bend over backwards to accommodate ours and demanding children 's wishes. Thank you all, we will be back.
