"Hired for a wedding reception. Convenient venue but shambolic management. All went smoothly at first and booking was paid, £750. I was then contacted saying there was an additional fee of £120 to have the time from 4pm which was never mentioned. Asked for proof of this but none was given. Went back again a fortnight before the wedding and saw the pub manager who talked with me about decorating the room. I was told by him that the backdrop I was wanting couldn't be put directly on a wall so it didn't damage the paintwork which was fine. He helped me find an appropriate place to put it and said he was free the day before the event to help set up the room. I also asked about bringing the cake and was told that was fine as there was a cake fridge to keep it overnight. Arrived to decorate at the agreed time the evening before and the manager was not there. The room was dirty from another function and nothing was in place. The staff were unaware I was coming and were not free to help apart from approx 10 minutes. I was then told the backdrop could not be used. This was via a text from the assistant manager to the staff there. I was told they couldn't keep the cake either. A friend took the cake the morning of the wedding and asked whether the backdrop had been put up as agreed by the pub manager. She spoke with the assistant manager. My friend's feedback was that the assistant manager was beyond rude, saying she was in charge and it wasn't wasn't happening. The two staff on the actual evening who ran the function were lovely and they were thanked profusely. They made the evening enjoyable. I returned the following day to collect items and was met with absolute disregard. It was a really negative atmosphere and no help was offered. I can only assume that now they had money from the evening there was no need to bother with me. Parking: Big parking area but very uneven ground"

My Dad and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We stopped in for a meal and a drink, and the young staff were fantastic. They were friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be visiting again soon. The vegetarian options were great, with a good variety including gluten-free options. The parking was very spacious. The only choices for starters are nachos or vegetarian nachos, and for dessert, there is only ice cream or vegetarian ice cream available. There are also only two main dishes to choose from. This lack of variety is especially disappointing for those with gluten intolerances. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20. A family of four ate there tonight and the food was awful the chick n mix x3 meals the roasted skewers tasted like wet no texture meat. Coleslaw was warm and basically a pot of mayo. Corn on cob tasted like was fresh from the ground. The signature millionaire burger... the chicken was disgusting slop and beef burger tasted like had been left in water before putting on breadcake slop. Then the dessert was rock hard cheesecake. A meal we was looking forward to as a treat came home feeling like all going to be poorly alot of money wasted....
