"Visited Platform One today for lunch. We ordered homemade cheese pie and scampi and after a very long wait our meals eventually arrived. The cheese pie pastry was disgusting, nothing like the shortcrust pastry I expected. Half of it was like concrete. I sent it back; the replacement was not much better. I ate only the cheese. On paying the bill we were asked was ‘everything ok’, I replied ‘no’. The bill was for full payment and I did mention ‘were they not going to knock a bit off?’ … no such luck. I should have paid what I thought the meal was worth! The staff were very pleasant. A very disappointing first time visit to Platform One as newcomers to Romiley."
