Lots of tables, great food and reasonable prices for the portion size and taste. Waiters really friendly and highly recommend the tap beer. Also recommend their traditional swiss meals! Also it's only a few minutes walk up a slight incline from the train station, it will be on your right

Wir kehrten nach Lauterbrunnen zurück, da es so wunderschön ist und wir in diesem schönen traditionellen Restaurant gegessen haben. Wir probierten die Schweinewurst in Zwiebelsoße mit Rösti und es war sehr lecker. Gepaart mit einem schönen Bier und was für ein tolles Mittagessen.Guter Service und ein schönes traditionelles Ambiente. Nicht billig aber gut.Sehr empfehlenswert.

Fresh, clean rooms with a wonderful view no matter which direction you are looking. Situated in the center of the town, it is within walking distance to all the major gondolas, trains and trails. It’s also attached to a lovely restaurant that serves a mix of fondues and rostinis featuring the freshest of the local harvest vegetables, cheeses and breads. Although the menu posted outside did not show gluten free options the menu they give you inside does. I had their Rosti. It was delicious. My husband got fondue and they provided gluten free HOME MADE bread for me to dip. They do not have a dedicated area but they were knowledgeable and also said they had GF pasta if I was to choose that. I also came in when they opened so the risk of contamination was less.

Ich bin froh, ein wunderbares Restaurant in diesem schönen Schweizer Dorf direkt an der Hauptstraße zu finden. Sie können die Leute beobachten, während Sie Ihr Fondue oder Raclette oder andere Vorspeisen eintauchen. Die Angestellten sind sehr hilfsbereit und sprechen auch Englisch! Das Problem der Gastronomie in Top Touristenorten ist, dass man sich nicht anstrengen muss, um Gäste zum Wiederkommen zu bewegen.Das Oberland liegt an der Haupstrasse in Lauterbrunnen, ist im Vergleich zu anderen Etablissements dort gepflegt und bietet eine oredentliche Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken.Das Essen war ordentlich, der Salat frisch, die Sauce spärlich. Die Poulet-Brüste allerdings schmeckten eher nach Pressfleisch. Das Rösti war in Ordnung, schmackhaft in drei verschiedenen Ausführungen zu haben. Kuchen ebenso ok, aber das geht deutlich besser.Service flott und freundlich.

We came into town hungry not sure where to go. It was early, I walked into the restaurant, and it was greeted by a lovely lady, who was so kind to take a reservation on the spot for later that night. We arrived a couple hours later were warmly greeted had a wonderful rösti with mousse for dessert. Behaviors observed by patrons- kindness goes a long way. The place has limited seating is quite clear about reservations online signs- being nasty to the staff is a reflection of you, not this lovely place. Asking for the bill is normal- not being rushed is normal, expectations set. Book enjoy a wonderful dinner.

I went to this place specifically to try the Rosti to overcome other reviewers. As with the order, I told the server that I have a heavy gluten allergy (seal disease) and asked him to inform the cook. At this point he got the belly and told me if there is a GF symbol next to the item on the menu, then it is GF and there is no reason to tell the cook. When my husband and I explained that it is a heavy allergy (again) and that most chefs like to know that he screamed to us that it is obviously GF and that is meaningless.
