"I had heard great things about this restaurant and was excited to try it out. The front of house was accommodating with tables but unfortunately that’s where the service stopped. We had to ask 3 times to order and when ordering the server was only interested in up selling the most expensive meat at large portions. He showed us three sizes before becoming frustrated and choosing a portion for us, of course it was too big and was never finished. The server also got the dish wrong, we had ordered what the table next to us had and didn’t offer to replace it. In saying that the bone marrow to start was very good but unfortunately the rest of the food, including vegetable side dishes were covered in large amounts of oil :"

Macellaio has the potential to be a nice place to eat, but they had an off day when we were there. The burger of my guest was overcooked and my poussin was tiny.

Honestly I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Great steakhouse and great value. The meat is just extraordinary. Wine selection could be wider although it is good. Congratulations !

We always, always, ALWAYS go to this restaurant if we’re staying in the area as their food and service is excellent; we’ve never been disappointed and can’t rate them highly enough. Yes, it’s on the expensive side but this is South Kensington!

Went for lunch at 2pm on a Tuesday but surprised that after reading the good reviews the place was empty. Nevertheless the service and food were excellent. One of the best steaks I have had I a long time and I eat a lot of steak! Very friendly service from Antonio. Many thanks.
