Loch Fyne - Menu

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. First time oyster tasting and freshest tasting tasty fish. Seafood tagliatelle excellent.

Had oyster for the first time. Deeeelllliiiissshhh..... then before you know it I was like a meerkat on guard.... it works I tell you!!! Excellent staff, good gin!!!

The wine and seafood was nice. The seafood tagliatelle was very watery and had little flavour, we were given stale bread with the prawn starter and the service overall wasn't great

We went to Loch Fyne Covent Garden because we heard it was closing. We've had many good meals there, so we thought we'd go before it closed. As it was closing there was only one white wine , Sauvignon Blanc, albei tin three varieties. We chose the NZ version which was nice. The food was very good, but only the a la carte menu was offered. No set menus.

If a pub had served the food we had I would have rated it average at best, but for a restaurant that markets itself as more upmarket, this was poor. The fish and chips and scampi we had were both made of low quality ingredients, and I’ve had better from both pubs and fish and chip shops. The “cranachan” bore little resemblance to actual cranachan and was pretty unpleasant. This chain needs to up its game.

Visited this restaurant prior to seeing a show. It's very close to the theatre's off the Strand and they offer a pre show menu. Walked in off the street about 5.30pm and was immediately seated without a booking. Meal was tasty and same as any other Loch Fyne but at least you know what you're getting. A little overpriced but was able to use a 25% off voucher found online. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would have no problem going there again next Showtime!

We hadn't booked any later probably wouldn't have got in. Wanting a fairly quick meal before the theatre, we were not disappointed. We were in no way rushed but enjoyed a two course meal and even had time for coffee before getting to the theatre with plenty of time to spare. I had Moules Provençale, a favourite of mine but not regularly served and my husband had grilled cod. Both were delicious. We started with roe served with oatcakes, we will be having that again.

We went to this restaurant before Tina. The food was good but not great. Service was ok. The server seemed impatient and intolerant. Outside on sandwich boards clearly state pre-theater menu, which we were not given until we asked after having had regular menus. The server would not answer my question about what a dish was like. I ordered something off regular menu and it was just ok, perhaps had he answered my question I could have ordered something I would like better. I would not return.

We had very good seafood lunches st this conveniently located London restaurant, but the location and quality make it a popular lunch spot for those working in the area as well. Get there before noon to have a shot at getting a table without a reservation. Note to Loch Fyne: Please letthe servers tell us what the specials for the day are. Having to hold up the chalkboard for us to read is awkward, time-consuming, and implies that you don’t think they’re able to remember them. The wait staff was very good and they don’t need a prop.
