beautiful staff. nice eating. we crossed stranraer and stumbled on henrys and enjoyed our evening meal in the early evening!

I had Sunday lunch with friends, and I can only say that the food was exceptional, catering to everyone's preferences and allergies. The dishes were not only delicious but also generous in portion. The service was spot-on—allowing us enough time to enjoy our meal and digest before choosing our next course. I will definitely be returning! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch

Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area, we had a 3 course meal, predominantly seafood based and it was exceptional, some of the best I've eaten (Seafood pancakes were amazing, too good to not tuck in straight away, sorry no photo!! . Bit confused to be given chips and roast potatoes as well as veg but hey, gave me choices All in all highly recommended and staff were all lovely.

The service was a bit of a downside. We finished our meal later than expected, and although there were more tables being attended to, they simply placed the bill on our table. We waited for someone to come for us, but after ten minutes, we decided not to wait any longer and went to the reception to pay. It was odd that everyone at another table was able to pay before us. Overall, everything else was good, and the restaurant is only a 10-minute walk from the center.

To our surprise, the parking lot was quite full for a Wednesday evening. The clientele was mostly older, but it’s clear they appreciate quality and tend to return when they find it. The staff welcomed us warmly and seated us at a lovely, quiet table. The menu focuses on seafood, which is fitting given Henry’s seaside location. I ordered the filet steak while my companion chose the fish cake. The meal turned out to be just what we needed—simple yet excellent value. My compliments to everyone involved in running Henry’s!

We were very glad we were able to secure a table on our second attempt. The service was fantastic—attentive without being overbearing, and incredibly friendly. We did encounter an issue with one of our main dishes, but it was handled exceptionally well. The manager seemed genuinely concerned that it wasn't right. Aside from that, the food was very good and beautifully presented. We had a dish to share, and it was delicious. The starters and desserts were also excellent.
