"We came for lunch as a family of 4 with a booking having just visited Stonehenge, I had the trio of venison. The wait for our food was approximately half an hour however the food was worth literally every second. It was exceptionally tasty and beautifully presented, you could really taste the quality and effort put into the meal. It was nice and quiet inside with a very sophisticated atmosphere (but not at all pretentious). Staff were very friendly and attentive. My only critique is that we were placed on a table with a bay window so it got a little chilly. I’d 100% be regular here if I was local and recommend it to anyone"

With the building dating from 1320, this haunted pub has to be included on a visit to Salisbury. A hotchpotch of small rooms, the pub and restaurant is an interesting enigma on where to sit. Nice selection of beers and spirits, and character in spadefulls. Friendly staff and very popular.

My food was very tasty and hot. Unfortunately 1 of our party was served cold steak. After 10 minutes it was returned, now well done. Sometimes these things happen but no apology or anything until a fuss was made. The bill was thrown on the table by a rude waiter. This was a day out for 4 after a tough period.
