Fresh hot food lovely waitress lovely liver bacon , pie of the day , lovely atmosphere, really busy on a rainy Wednesday lunchtime and it was packed , so shows how lovely it is

Had a lovely welcome, we were a group of 10 with 5 bassets and 2 smaller dogs. Service was friendly and prompt and the food was served all together and was delicious. Would highly recommend

Our family had a wonderful Christmas celebration at this restaurant. The dinner was fantastic and the organization by Julia and her team was top-notch. We will definitely be returning this year for a birthday celebration. Voir le carte

Once again, The Hare and Hounds have come up trumps. We stopped here for lunch during a circular walk around Sway. Great menu, great staff, great service. I have lost count of the number of times we have eaten here but it is lovely to find their standard of food and service remains very high Thank you for giving us an enjoyable “pit stop” on our walk. See you again soon.

The food and the service here is excellent. The garden is great, lots of equipment for children to enjoy and plenty of parking. We were able to book a table close to the door because of one of our friends needing ease of mobility. There is a great menu with interesting dishes and a lot of variety but most of all everything was delicious. We now try and eat here at least twice on any of our visits to the New Forest!!

Was recommended the pub by a friend. First of all this is a really lovely pub. My wifes meal was liver and bacon which she enjoyed and I had the steak and ale pie. The for the negative review is the chips weren't attractive side order, they needed to be chunky chips also my wife had the chocolate cheese cake which if you closed your eyes and tasted a spoon full there was no taste of chocolate. My wife loves puddings but she left half of it. Such a shame. Voir le carte

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch the night before and were promptly seated upon our arrival. The restaurant was bustling with other diners as it was already 1pm. We both ordered the roast pork dinner, which was delicious with flavorful roast potatoes, generous portions of pork with crispy crackling, and plenty of gravy. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Though we noticed other diners with giant Yorkshire puddings, we assumed it was only for the roast beef. We also received plenty of apple sauce and left feeling very satisfied. The beer was decent and I would happily visit again in the future.

a so beautiful and welcoming pub. this pub visited my friend as part of a trip down the memory lane. first and as an independent observation, eating was so beautiful and the ambiente was perfect. the personal was really attentive. but what made it so special was the real reaction of the owners / management when I told them my connection to one of their former parent companies my onkel nigel. I was in the pub as a kitchen for him after years in overseas and unfortunately not around his life held almost a decade in his favorite pub. my day could no longer have been made by the strata of his time there and the hearty thoughts of his paragliding of her pubs. i/ we will be back in sway more regul...

Ate here on Friday 15th September in the evening. 4 mains, hit and miss! Service felt begrudging and was definitely minimal. The family with us had visited several times a year ago and we were all there on their recommendation so decided to give it another chance, we booked Sunday lunch and the Sunday quiz. Well.....the Sunday roast for which they are apparently famous was gross...we eat out a lot and it has to be the worst sunday roast we have ever had. The three meat roast consisted of a slice of dry overcooked Turkey, a slice of Beef that resembled deli sliced beef, and a slice of dry but fatty Pork.
