"We had booked this restaurant the previous day ahead of our overnight stay in the hotel next door and upon arriving we were clearly the first customers of the day. There wasn 't much of a welcome however we were just pointed to our table and handed menus and asked for drinks. Sure. that 's what you want but a Good evening, welcome, how are you this evening? wouldn 't have gone amiss though I must say I 've been to a few Indian restaurants where the 'welcome ' is much the same. Anyway, onto the food. Despite a rather lacklustre chicken kebab starter (it was fine, just chicken without any particularly flavoursome masala the main course of Sarisha Murgh was tasty and good although the supposed mustard flavour didn 't come through at all. The naan breads were good though thinner and more authentic than the usual massive ones you get. We also had dal tadka on the side which was ok very much a homestyle recipe and not the tastiest I 've ever had. All in all it filled us well however. The service was fine, if not exactly friendly and the interior is fairly spartan but for a village the size of Aberlady it 's good to have a choice of eateries and an Indian one at that. They just need to work on their welcome and perhaps also not charge £1.10 for poppadoms (plenty of restaurants will give them for free while you wait! . It 's Bring Your Own Bottle too."

50% increase in takeaway price, over two months, is ridiculous, and not reflected in their online menu. Check price when you order or you might be shocked when you collect!

We typically opt for the takeout service offered by Grace of India. The food is consistently delicious with a great variety of authentic dishes. This restaurant has become our go-to spot for Indian cuisine, as we can always count on a fantastic meal and friendly service.

We have dined in a few times and gotten takeout several times, and we have never had a bad meal - it has always been great. However, the meal we had last night was exceptional, the best I have had in many years. If you have the opportunity, definitely give them a try - it's worth it.

No alcohol, but bring your own. I preferred a Diet Coke. Service was very attentive and relaxed. Food , lamb madras, keema Nan and ghee fried rice was superb. Loads of meat in main, buttery different rice and a Nan full of mince meat spice. Totally stuffed , but glad I made another visit.

Ate here last Wednesday evening. Had a delicious meal and fast service. We were a little apprehensive at first as we were the only couple dining but were pleasantly surprised with the quality and standard of the food. Don't forget to bring your own alcohol as not licensed-they did neglect to tell us this when we booked -but there is a Coop very close by

I used to enjoy this restaurant, but my recent experience was disappointing. While the takeaway service seems to be popular, the restaurant itself was not busy. I ordered a king prawn starter that was deep fried in batter and squashed, making it chewy and unpleasant. There was also a strange, off-putting taste that made me feel sick. Overall, I was not impressed.

Got a takeaway while staying nearby for a few days break. Menu looked nice and I decided to try chicken biryani. My wife had the herb chicken and pilaf rice. The chicken in my biryani was dry, overcooked and chewy. The rice was greasy. The veg curry that came with it was quite nice. My wife quite liked hers and I tried it and it was better than my meal. We also had side of cucumber rathia, not the best, in fact the worst I've had. Safe to say I wouldn't rush back, maybe I just chose wrong going for biryani.

Having not been to the restaurant since before COVID it was lovely to return. We just went for a mid week treat. To start we were the only folk there, but others arrived during our stay. The decor is basic, but means you feel comfortable popping in in jeans. The food was superb. The starters of channa puri and paneer cutlet were especially good. Both arrived piping hot and absolutely delicious. We had main dishes and bread. All was very tasty. A very small down side of weak, instant coffee, but a minor point. And with a BYOB, the meal was really reasonable in cost not much more than a takeaway. A great local place, with super tasty veggie options. I wish they'd have an online delivery option...

On holiday at Haven caravan park, we always eat out at least once during our holiday (we usually carry food in). We have driven past Grace of India on numerous occasions. Tonight we booked a table. Warm welcome, delicious smells on entering the restaurant. Tables beautifully laid out. Our waiter attended to our soft drinks order (it's BYOB restaurant) and provided ice cold water too. Starters were king prawn poorie, chicken poorie. Poorie was as light as feather, chicken and prawns were in a delicious rich tomato sauce with just the right amount of coriander. Garlic chicken, chicken bhunna, mushroom rice, garlic naan. All piping hot, tasty and generous portions. The chicken in both dishes wa...
