"MrsC decided, as part of her recovery, for us to meet at Bicester Village for a wander in the Autumn sunshine and perchance to get some victuals whilst we were about it. I met her at the well appointed Bicester Village station (which must have the best waiting room, by far, of any network rail destination in the country) early doors and we pootled over to Farmshop for a late breakfast. We were seated swiftly, on entering, on a row of two cover seatings along the expansive framed windows alongside a walkway into the outlet village. A minor concern, on scanning the menu, was the perceived absence of both dairy alternatives for the drinks and a plant based breakfast choice beyond coconut yoghurt, granola and berries (which someone on the adjacent table had and looked very good). Somewhat perversely we found a cooked “plant based” breakfast in the Eggs section? Which, in concert, we both ordered and then were informed by our server, Nikole, that they had a plethora of PB alternatives for their hot drinks. So we added a coconut flat white, for MrsC, and a decaf oat milk latte pour moi. Both the drinks and food were despatched to the table in good time and were very good. The PB brekkie dispensed with faux meat items and the, now, ubiquitous scrambled tofu and a large oval plate was generously filled with; Fresh wilted greens with a soupçon of salt crystals and chopped chives Two gently softened fresh halved tomatoes Half an avocado mixed with fresh mint Two decent sized freshly cooked flat cap mushrooms Two slices of toasted sourdough (sadly bereft of any spread) Some disappointing canned baked beans and Less than homemade mini hash browns. All in all a light, but substantial, vegan breakfast with, mostly, freshly cooked ingredients of good quality. Coffees were good to boot. Service was light touch but attentive and warm and we enjoyed a great start to our meander around the “village”. It would probably warrant a 4.5 but for the irritating and unnecessary addition of a 13.5% “discretionary” service charge to the bill. I recognise I’m a curmudgeonly old fart but, on two counts, I find these additions an affront. Firstly “discretionary” means an individuals choice; not one unilaterally applied by the restaurant for the customer to have the “discretion” to remove it! As MrsC will willingly avow, especially if alcohol has been involved, I am more than willing to apply the traditional discretionary service thank-you (or tip as we used to refer to it) both regularly and generously. Further frustratingly there is no blanket suggestion that said 13.5% is given to the backroom staff or front of house. Secondly why is there a need to add a service charge and negatively differentiate yourselves? If my breakfast needs to be priced at ,a not unreasonable, £14.76 rather than the menu price of £13.00 than so be it. That’s far more honest and transparent than the route taken and a whole lot less alienating than the current practice. Surely there’s an expectation that if I’m ordering a meal via table service that it will be delivered to me where I’m sat? It seems churlish to add a sum to the bill for the taking of my order and its delivery to me. In summary. Service was great Food was very good. Menu could be clearer. Restaurant space is great with good atmosphere Service charge is a nonsense. Would I recommend it. Of course. There’s loads more positives than downsides and the quality and quantity of the food and the service itself is spot on."

Went here with a recommendation to try the eggs royale and hash browns. Said and done! Although the experience provided so much more than just a nice meal. Amazing service from our waitress Manuela, beautiful restaurant and delicious food! Loved it!

Lovely restaurant with inside seating and a terrace as well if weather permits. The dish selection is quite sufficient and the service was quick, efficient and friendly. The salads were freshly made and delicious. Would certainly go back while in Bicester Village!!

Been here a few times and it never disappoints, great food, cooked in the open kitchen, the wood oven prawns are amazing , we have also had the Welsh rarebit and the salads are great. Last time we had the apple pie which was delicious . The best place for food to stop in between shopping . Voir le carte

Nice aesthetics and vibe. Took a while to be seated, but busy time of year. Food was good but I like to leave constructive criticism 1) People that were sat after us has their orders taken before us its not difficult. 2) They told us that what we ordered wasnt available after they had taken the order 3) No hand towels or hand driers in the bathroom. Yuk.

Decided to take my girls out for the day. Struggle now to get together as they are both at university. My younger daughter happy as she bought a coach bag for university. Ate at the Farm Shop. Loved the rustic, casual interior. I was surprised that there was not a queue as in the past always struggled to eat there. Food and hospitality good and would recommend if you fancy something casual.

I was served by a lovely lady called Klaudia who was kind, sweet, and conscientious about my allergies. I made sure not to order anything I couldn't eat but the fact that she was so diligent about it was amazing. The food was perfect, so much so that I wish I didn't have a train to catch or I would have ordered more. This place is perfect for a sit down meal, a quick brunch, or if you want to take a break from shopping in Bicester. Voir le carte

I have a mobility scooter and we were looking at the menu when one of the stewards asked if we wished to enter. He advised on where to leave my scooter and took us from the queue to the front and got us seated straight away. Our order was dealt with expeditiously and the drinks arrived quickly. The food also arrived expeditiously. It was worth the wait. My partner had Mac cheese with bacon and I had sea bass with samphire and new potatoes. Definitely very good given the speed. The service was very attentive throughout despite them being very busy.

We had the lunch meal deal. I had chicken with rocket and Parmesan, we were asked if we would like it with chips. It wasn’t elaborated on that these chips would be a fiver a person. Chicken was very dry, had to use my mayo from the chips to help!!! Very shocked to see a 13.5% service charge put on the bill, £16 for our table!! £35 for a £22 two course meal and a coke!!! A joke really. The lady who took our order was very pleasant but from then on it was all about turning the table over, we actually felt like we were being pressured to leave. All well and good but not for that amount of service charge!!! Tried to go to the ladies before leaving but only two toilets and one was absolutely disg...

"I don't know what on earth happened last night when we had dinner here, the reviews looked good, and we're struggling to understand how. We're very easily pleased and takes a lot to prompt a complaint, but we had an absolutely awful experience. My partner ordered the belly pork off the specials board, and it turned up on a side plate, a very few overcooked bits of diced pork thrown in with a few veg. I had the cauliflower with braised lentils, this turned out to be a few mainly burnt cauliflower florets thrown into a plate of sludgy lentils. The chunky chips we ordered came out as skinny fries, not a big deal but just added to the general lack of care. We were both mortified, to the point of embarrassment. We ate it as we were hungry and there was nowhere else to go as we were staying at a local campsite. One of the team took the plates away, and another brought the bill. Neither of them asked us how the meal was, else we'd have said how disappointed we were. So we just left, just as the table next to ours was commenting on the small portion sizes of their food. We should have complained but we were hungry, disappointed, tired and just wanted to leave and simply couldn't face the confrontation in the busy setting. No excuses but that's how it was. We are very relaxed easy going people but this was a truly disappointing meal and experience and we felt robbed of £45 instead of enjoying what we'd hoped would be a lovely Saturday night out and special occasion."
