I was disappointed that half of the menu items were unavailable, so I ended up ordering soup and a roll. The soup was made from canned vegetables and the roll seemed to be only partially baked. Overall, it was not a restaurant I would return to.

I recently returned to this restaurant after many years. I decided to book a table for later that day and was informed that they serve a Chinese menu after 5pm. I was a bit disappointed at first, but when I tried the food, it turned out to be the best Chinese meal I have ever had. I will definitely be returning again and again. Thank you.

Oh dear been here many times before and the food and drink had always been good I don't know what's happened straight away no paper in the men's toilets 4 ales on tap which is great shame 2 of them were awful . Had steak pie which was dry and looked like it had been warming for hours vegetables were raw cauliflower unedible. Chips and gravy nice though . We won't be rushing back Voir le carte

We stayed at the nearby campsite and decided to walk to this pub along the canal, which took about 15 minutes. Luckily, we had made a reservation because it was quite busy. We dined on a Friday night and enjoyed the Chinese menu, which was incredibly tasty. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely come back to this pub.

Absolutely terrible! Had booked ahead as we were staying at a local campsite so had no knowledge of the pub beforehand. Table was reserved for us sign and menus on the table but so was the remainder of the previous parties lunch!! No effort had been made to clean the table when the reserved notice was placed there. The menus were dirty and sticky and lots of dishes weren't available. The vegan dishes advertised on the website were nowhere to be seen. The barmaid was surly and unwelcoming. Needless to say we didn't stay!! Drove a mile further down the road to the Malt House totally different experience thank goodness!!

One of the staff working behind the bar is SO UNFRIENDLY! She really behaves as if she is so unhappy and resentful to serve the customers! I have rarely seen such an attitude ever! Of course anyone can have a bad day, or be going through a difficult time, but guess what, in this job you should just make an effort, no matter how you are feeling. There were two women behind the bar on both occasions I 'm referring to. One of them was super friendly and made customers feel very welcome long dark hair and a northern accent The other, blonde hair, with a horrible attitude was the rudest I have come across!
