"Had dinner here 30th June 2023 by way of celebration for our son graduating from Queens University, his choice! We have been before as often as we can being from distant Tyrone and quite simply are never disappointed! Warmly welcomed as always, usual dilemma of what to choose for my wife and son and straight down to business. We all enjoyed a simple pre starter with our drinks and then ordered. We all had the tempura prawns and vegetables which were simply exquisite before devouring haddock in my case, risotto with scallops for my son and the boss had a piece of baked cod which looked monumental! The Deane lager is to die for, as is the house rose and a stinking good coffee to finish! All enjoyed under the ever watchful eye of the owner who patrolled religiously as he always seems to do. Not hard to see why standards are maintained and cannot wait to return again as we undoubtedly shall. Not in any rush to take payment and get you out either. Superb meal, many thanks! Oh and by the way, I am not a fish lover normally, but I will happily make an exception for excellence!"

Fishcake starter was not convincing, however the risotto with scallops, shrimps and icecream for desert were great. Also the wines matched very well.

We stopped by today for lunch. We didn’t have a booking but we’re quickly accommodated. Lovely mussels dish and à linguini. Very tasty and good service

We had a fantastic experience dining at Deanes Fish. The squid and crab starters were outstanding, and the cod and fish and chips were delicious. This is undoubtedly the best seafood in Belfast. Voir le carte

Superb. We were heading to Belfast for a week with work and a friend recommended Love Fish so we booked a few weeks ahead. The service was excellent, the food was the best I've tasted in a while. The monkfish is to die for! Highly recommend.

Walked past this place whilst sightseeing in the city and thought this looks interesting . Booked lunch for the following day and was not disappointed! Good seafood, well prepared and served by friendly staff. Nice wines to complement the dishes. Light and airy restaurant, chic French bistro style.

The restaurant is in a nice location, but when I asked to sit at a window table, I didn't like that people passing by could see my plate. Unfortunately, not all of the daily specials were available due to the large crowd. The waitress informed us that two dishes we wanted were already sold out. We decided to order the mussels, but they weren't as described on the menu. The photos on the website were also not related to the dishes on the menu. The food was decent, but the presentation lacked passion. The final chocolate dessert wasn't as dark as stated on the menu. The wine also wasn't cold enough. Overall, I would rate my experience a 5 out of 10. I don't plan on returning. The service was g... Voir le carte

My favorite restaurant for a Saturday afternoon lunch is Love Fish. I always struggle to choose just one starter, so I decided to try the fish fritters and the brown crab rarebit, both priced at £6.50 each. They were both delicious. My wife ordered the Whitebait with curry mayonnaise, also priced at £6.50, and it was crispy and delightful. For our mains, I had the fish pie with greens for £18, while my wife had the Lobster with salad and fries for £27.50. We also enjoyed water for £4.75, a bottle of Chez Deano Sauvignon for £28.95, and a French Martini for £10.95. The fish pie was topped with creamy potato and had plenty of fish inside. The lobster was cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a...

My husband and I were in the restaurant at 5pm for dinner in August. I had half lobster and my husband had sea bass. The staff were very pleasant. The two meals were poor. The lobster had very little fish inside and the side salad in the bowl was small and dripping in oil and not well presented. My husbands salad was the same and his fish did not taste nice. We both had a beer before our meal which was flat and not nice. My husband did not drink his. I had a glass of wine with my meal which was fine. Not long after my meal my stomach was rumbling. Later that evening my husband said his was the same. Next day my stomach continued to be upset. Hence to say that I will not be back to Deans Love...

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
