Excellent service and excellent food for a wee Saturday lunch in Stirling. I went for the special’s of the day as recommended by the waitress and it was very good, my partner chose of the menu and that again was very good.

dropped into this place whilst in Stirling for a spot of lunch. Did not have a reservation. Starters Mains orders. What fantastic food was served, it could not be faltered. Staff were excellent and waited on us well. Good value for money.

Popped in as a casual diner on a Monday night and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent and service overall was very good. But we were there for the food and it was excellent. Well presented and very enjoyable with prices that were very reasonable. The surroundings and ambience added to the experience so 5 stars from us.

Good location in central Stirling, this is in the Golden Lion Hotel. Been a while since my last visit so was looking forward to a recent couple and wasn’t disappointed. Once was just for drinks in the bar, which has a nice atmosphere and good staff. Second was for a meal. Food at Cronies is always tasty and a good price too. Love the Mac n cheese! And the staff spare excellent!

Great selection of locally sourced foods, with a distinctly Scottish theme. Pleasant wood panelled dining room with very helpful friendly staff. Good value food with a decent drinks menu. I had the King prawns with garlic, parmesan and spinach for a starter which was very good. I asked for mine to be served without the tomato coulis. My main was Balmoral chicken which was served with Stornoway black pudding and a herb mash, with a very nice savoury gravy. I couldn't manage afters.

At the time of writing, this restaurant is the 51st best on TA in Stirling. Wow. The mysteries of the algorithm. No way, never, not a chance. This restaurant is excellent, easily top 5. I found this purely by chance after being turned away by Brea for not having s reservation. I fell lucky. What a fantastic find. Its a gem! Food, setting, Staff. Ambience all brilliant. Superb quality and priced unbelievably cheap. This restaurant could easily charge 20, maybe 30% more per dish and it would still be worth it. Top quality. Top place. Top Staff, fantastic!

My husband and I decided to treat my sister and her husband to lunch. Cronies bar is tastefully designed and well laid out. Most of the staff were very professional. Unfortunately the female waitress who served us was loud and could easily have come from a Rab C Nesbit audition. The men wanted steak from the A la Carte Menu my husbands arrived under cooked most of which was gristle the steaks were smaller than the palm of a ladies hand a very pricey nibble for £25 each.We enjoyed the rest of our meal. But the loud waitress spoiled the atmosphere. If anyone on here knows where we can get a large American sized steak we would be very grateful for the information.
