we enjoyed a great meal here. the personal was great. it is a real place pub where the neighboring families and couples go for a walk to drink or eat an evening.

had an amazing 2 nights here, the room was so big and comfortable, the bathroom was huge, eating was great massive breakfast and the staff were brilliant. definitiw 5/5

I stumbled upon this restaurant while working in the area and was greeted and treated exceptionally well. The restaurant easily earned five stars in all categories - food, service, and atmosphere. I will definitely be returning to stay here next year when I come back to complete more local work. The price per person is around £30-£40.

Congratulations to Andrew for successfully turning around this pub. Please disregard any reviews prior to October 2023, as they are no longer relevant. It is fair to say that up until now, this establishment was poorly managed by the previous owners, resulting in a decline in quality. Thanks to Andrew's dedication to customer satisfaction, the pub is now thriving. Locals are coming back and the atmosphere is inviting. This pub is quickly becoming a beloved spot in the village once again.

Bar staff were really polite and helpful but the food was the worst i have had. 2 1/2 of our table of 3 plates went back full still and no childs menu. Vegetables/potatoes come out raw and looking microwaved multiple times. But the staff were promt to put this right. By this point i had given up with the meal. The puddings were clearly bought in not much effort included. And only one toilet. Have been for a drink before in the summer it was lovely but will not be returning again for food. Bar staff 10/10.

The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful, however, the food itself was disappointing. I ordered a fish cake which was watery and lacked flavor. My partner had a steak and ale cake, but the steak was strange in texture and tasted overly sweet. The sauce seemed to be a mixture of BBQ sauce and dishwater. The appetizers we had, on the other hand, were enjoyable. I had the bread and cheese with a dip, which was delicious. My partner had the soup of the day, which seemed to have been microwaved but still tasted good.
