A nice location for a highly recommended pub on most websites. They do not lie. A good but not extensive selection of cask ales (quality over quantity prevails) and an excellent selection of pub grub. The steak and kidney pie cannot be described without the use of superlatives. If you are still hungry the jam roly poly absolutely sticks to your ribs. Location: 5

A wonderful dog friendly, country pub, with fabulous walking routes all around. The servers were all very helpful, kind to the dogs and thoughtful. We had a sharing platter and dessert. It is annoying that Google will only allow accommodation review. Most people go to eat! Overall, the food was good. You can't reserve a table, but there was plenty of room for lunch. You choose your table and order at the bar. Service was polite and quick. We had Prawns in Garlic to start, very nice but not quite Gambas Pil Pil, followed by Filo lentil pie, which was wholesome and delicious with a lovely mushroom sauce. We shared a jam rolly poly with fresh fruit and vanilla custard. All perfectly home cooked. A couple of issues with the actual pub. It felt old and tatty.
