Great atmosphere with attentive, friendly staff. Food was great good quality and excellent value for money. We took our dog and she was as welcome there as we were!

We often come here with work with a gentleman we support with Autism L D. Food is delicious. You may have to wait as it is cooked from scratch. Good prices, tasty food good selection.Highly recommend this pub

Following a walk on Cambios beach with friends we had lunch and coffee. Fish was massive and in a nice crunchy batter and the chips could feed two. Staff were friendly delivering everything to the table even the coffees. Voir le carte

Visited for lunch on a bleak day few customers. Interesting decor and good bar service. Clean loos! Food came slowly and was clearly fresh cooked. Excellent quality cod and chips. With a couple of non alcoholic drinks about £23 for two of us. Right good value.

How fantastic to actually find a good old proper pub with great home cooked food and selection of drinks , staff very good lovely atmosphere looking straight out to the beach and to be owned by probably the most famous geordies son (Jackie charlton) we were in our element.good old British pub loved it. Lovely little family pub tucked away. Lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. Huge portions! Lovely pleasant staff. Prawn cocktail was massive, onions rings could have done with slightly longer as really pale, my poke in the eye was beautiful with half rice and chips and gorgeous fresh side salad, hubby had steak and mushroom pie with mash and peas. Bottle of wine and a pint of cider just £40.90 well spent.

Shocking visited Sunday 11th September 22 @2pm Took a de-tour whilst travelling up into Northumberland after seeing reviews. Initially wanted a Sunday lunch but was told it was currently booked up but the fish and chip part was available. So we ordered fish and chips and what a disappointment the staff were friendly but the place was not very clean and poor table set up this includes the Sunday lunch part. The fish and chips were terrible I ordered haddock which was grey and just all batter which was rock hard and the chips very pale and greasy. Left most of the meal and was extremely disappointed. Considering we booked a table in advance I was disappointed to be told we had to wait as there was non available, eventually was given a table but no menu had to look around to find one. We ordered starters and main course then waited and waited until the starters appeared but NO CUTLERY I had to ask at the bar for some we then waited another age to have the dishes removed then another wait for the main course to arrive but guess what NO CUTLERY, then another wait to have the dishes removed and order some sweets after another long wait the sweets turned up and guess what NO CUTLERY once again a search for a member of staff to get some spoons.
