"Where should I start? this place has everything; rustic charm, friendly staff and the best food I had in a very long time. I had the suppe of the day that was tomato and frying garlic with slightly roasted sourdough brot and butter. that was just delicious. I played it safe and went for the burger and three times cooked chips, and young that was not disappointed. the chips were crispy, but fluffy inside and the burger was so juicy and tasteful. Finally, I had been able to describe what was only dessert as the best I have ever eaten, which was a white chocolate and passion fruit cheese cake with a mango sauce and chocolate ice cream. it was just fantastic from start to finish. I can't recommend this place very much."

The food at Carpenter's Arms was outstanding and the service was quick and incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious food in a laid-back setting at an affordable cost.

what a wonderful pub! the personal was very attentive and could not have done for us anymore. eating was absolutely delicious - recommend a roast dinner! it's a shame that it's 2 hours away from us, if this were more local, we'd be there all the time!

good food. good value. if you just want to sit on the bar, that's good. friendly staff. interesting decoration with a knot in the past. try the cod cooked with coriander and cocosnus, or the curry! also fall off the local and visitors of the country. beautiful garden in summer.

Beautiful country pub in Wighton near Wells next the sea with indoor and outdoor eating/drinking areas. Staff were a bit stretched on the Wednesday evening but they squeezed us in for a bite to eat. We ate katsu curry, plaice goujons and gnocchi. Good ale and usual range of drinks on offer. There was a relaxed atmosphere and we would definitely go back there as the B and B next door Meadow View is a fabulous B and B.
