"it was Valentine's Day! needed somewhere locally and for a fast, comfortable meal. to our surprise a musician had been set for the evening and this improved the ambiente so much that we wanted to take our time over the culinary experience. Nevertheless, the employees were too excited to postpone the delivery of the courses and it would have helped them to return a little. the set menu was a real bonus and the selection of food tasted amazing. I'll go back to see you sometime."

We joined our friends for a lovely evening they have a very well priced small menu at the moment which gave us plenty to eat. We have been here many times as it is well positioned in the middle of Epsom

we really enjoyed our birthday dinner in the cafe rouge. the food was very good and so was the service. I've been in this outlet before and it's always worth visiting. I had the nasty pot that was excellent, like the souffle star. it was a nice, relaxed atmosphere and we were not thrown out.

"We visited Phil You Up after reading reviews online and am sad that we’ve left it this longer to finally try them out. The wait for reasonable and I noticed that people were turning up having pre-ordered which seemed like a great idea. I had the chicken masala wrap as a meal deal. The wrap was delicious and a generous size filled with salad. The chips were well cooked and it good quality. Nice and hot. Staff were friendly throughout. I would thorough recommend Phil You Up for a quick lunch on the go or a cheeky takeaway when you just don’t fancy cooking. Very tasty"

"I don 't know why we have waited so long to try the food here! It 's not often that, apart from the whole family saying 'hmmm ' after every bite, everyone is eating silently and we all have squeaky clean plates. The juices are very tasty! Just what 's needed to pick you up after a difficult morning working from home. The service is great and it 's wonderful to be able to support a family business like this. "I visited my elderly Mum today, she suggested going to the Derby Arms for a roast dinner as she'd eaten there recently with my sister. However they were fully booked, so I looked online and found Galu. The reviews were great and my Mum has only ever heard good things from friends and neighbours. So I called and booked for 12:45 Sunday 21st Jan 2024. We were both pleasantly surprised to see roast dinners on the menu ... Mum order lamb and I ordered beef part of their set menu. When the dinners arrived, you could see straight away that the lamb was Very Fatty (not even crispy) when my my tried eating it, it was both tough and chewy! As for the beef, this was cooked ok and edible, although I asked for the beef to be medium, but it was more well done. The waiter came over to ask if the meal was ok, I highlighted how the lamb was... the manager then came over and offered my Mum a slice of beef to compensate, bearing in mind she ordered lamb. Mum subsequently found that some of her roast potatoes were hard inside! I finished my meal, but could see Mum really didn't enjoy hers leaving a substantial amount on her plate, and having tried her lamb it really was inedible! We were then offered a full list of desserts rather than the set menu, having chocolate brownie and creme brûlée (both were gorgeous) When the bill arrived, I was hoping they would have somehow made amends, but alas no ... as Mum doesn't like to cause a fuss and it was her treat, I decided not to say anything, although the staff manager could tell we weren't happy. Having come from East Sussex for the day and regularly have great Sunday roasts in local pubs, I was hoping for something special in this restaurant, but sadly that wasn't the case. In fact it's probably one of the worst roast dinners I've had in a long time. I very much doubt we'll return ..."

"In my earlier visit, the food was truly excellent, and the manager took the time to chat with me. However, I noticed that no one mentioned the loyalty program. I found the display and the card only after we had already spent £50, which was disappointing. Additionally, while discussing my experience, the manager brought up an inexperienced employee who was just a couple of feet away behind the bar. It's frustrating when points aren't recognized, especially when there should be better communication among staff. Overall, it's a great place to eat, but there are some areas for improvement in customer service."
