"The food and drinks at Branches are grossly overpriced. We paid £200 for two amateur starters, two bland fillet steaks with sides, and a dreadful carafe of sangria. Despite being willing to pay for great quality, the food and drinks at Branches are no better than what you would find at McDonald's. The manager's arrogance does not match the restaurant's standard of quality. If you're looking for a place to take pictures for social media, Branches has a dated fake blossom tree that would be perfect. However, if you prioritize quality of food, wine, and ambience, you should consider looking elsewhere. Overall rating: Food - 1, Service - 1, Atmosphere - 1."

Couldn't fault the quality amd the of food, service, cocktails and staff. What a brilliantly-run establishment! They deserve the awards they have won so far and I'm sure there are more to come. We were here for a birthday celebration and it was made extra special by all of the above. Highly recommended. I went to the restaurant on a quiet night and loved the good vibe. The place was bright but not too bright, and the tree in the middle was impressive, despite being a bit low for most waiters. The service was excellent, with staff appearing at the right times and being calm and relaxed. The food was delicious, especially the prawns for starters. I will definitely be coming back. Overall rating: Food 5/5, Service 5/5, Atmosphere 5/5. Meal type: Dinner, Price per person: £50-60.

I'm so glad my husband and I discovered this restaurant on vacation in Newcastle. Luckily it was right next to our hotel. The atmosphere was romantic and the interiors were very elegant. Each dish was delicious and artistically presented. Even the bread served with butter and salt with crushed peppercorns was so good. So her soup was the day. The highlight for me was the salmon and seafood dish. My husband also enjoyed his fish and chips. We even got some free fish cakes that were lovely. For a fine restaurant it was cheap. Their employees were also very attentive. We would like to come back to Newcastle next visit.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
