"What a lovely place the Blue Bell bistro is. Visited a couple of times during our stay in New Quay. Popped in for coffee and cake with the dog during the day, dogs are welcome downstairs. Back for dinner upstairs which has a lovely atmosphere. Food was fabulous and the service was great too. Catered well for gluten free options too. Fab cocktails too and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit."

"The Lime Crab has the reputation of being the best place to get fish and chips and as vegetarians we were excited to see that they had halloumi on the menu. The ladies running the front of house where doing a sterling job keeping on top of the orders as it was super busy. I was watching something that looked like crispy battered halloumi being packed up for other customers. When our order was being packed up… I realised that what I had been watching wasn’t the halloumi and I was pretty disappointed that the halloumi isn’t actually battered at all it’s just deep fried what a crying shame! The halloumi was nice (chips pretty soggy and disappointing though) but OMG please consider battering it!!! It would be freaking outstanding!"

"Please show some love for this restaurant! A group of five of us dined here on Tuesday, August 8th, and we were excited to hear that it had recently been taken over, offering fresh, home-cooked Italian classics on the menu. It did not disappoint! You can really tell when a chef is passionate about their food—he came around to check on the diners, and he was such a lovely man. The whole sea bream was absolutely divine, cooked to perfection, and every dish was crafted with the same love and attention, even the kids' meals. Please give this place a try; they truly deserve to grow their business. Unlike other places that serve microwave-ready frozen meals, this restaurant cares about quality and not just profits. I will definitely be back. Well done, chef!"

"We went on Wednesday evening and was so happily we did. It was not our first choice we looked at all the restaurants by the sea (as this one does not have a sea view). But, we are planning another holiday to New quay or near by so we can come back to this restaurant. Two members of our party have food allergies and the waitress checked twice to get it right and the chef came out to check as well we felt so looked after and like they wanted us to enjoy the food and not worry about feeling rubbish later which is very uncommon in larger restaurants (personally had some awful experience). The food was delicious, I would say underpriced for the size of the potion and the quality of the food! It was just what we needed after a long day on the sea paddle boarding. The waitress and the chef were amazing, so welcoming with great service. The restaurant itself is cosy and inviting, comfy chairs and really funky cutlery which I liked a lot. It’s deffo a locals restaurant and a great one go visit."

"Went to sit in for some lunch. Food and drinks were tasty. The main issue was the service. There was only one employee taking orders, making drinks, and cooking, so everything was slow to come out. Not ideal with two toddlers. However there is baby changing facilities (including some nappies) in the toilets which is great to see in an independent business."
