"We'd been to the Boars Head once before for a light lunch, which had been fine, but this time we brought the family for a proper Sunday lunch. The restaurant and bar were very busy, but we were given a friendly welcome and service throughout was unflustered, unobtrusive, prompt and excellent. Altogether, we had three different starters, six different adult main courses and five different desserts and every item on every plate was superb well cooked, well presented and delicious. This is definitely our new favourite restaurant and I can't wait to go back."

We were a large family group who ordered a variety of meals. Everyone very happy with their meals, generous serves and all piping hot. Kids menu good too. Prompt and efficient service, good atmosphere.

Called in for food following going to a Dog Show at the Village Hall. We had Starters served as main course with a side order of chips. Everything delicious and we will certainly make a point of eating here again. Staff very pleasant and helpful too

Excellent food , the presentation the quality and the taste was incredible. I visited with my two family members and all three of us said this is the best food we have eaten in a long time. Obviously a very talented chef. We'll done we will be returning again.

Absolutely lovely place fantastic food! Visited the Boars Head twice recently for a Thursday tea Sunday lunch. Food is delicious, couldn't fault it at all. Delicious Sunday lunch with yorkshires to die for. Staff are friendly, welcoming can't do enough for you. Our new favourite place

Lovely looking pub outside and in. Large car park and outdoor seating also Since we last visited a few years ago it has been refurbished and it looks lovely Decent menu although not much for a light bite Everything was ok with the food although the ‘triple cooked chips’ only tasted like they had been cooker once as they were only just cooked ! Disappointed with those Service was good

Went there last summer and it was very good.... This time however, we were very disappointed.... No hanging baskets like last year and the outdoor furniture is tatty and needs replacing. Seems that they are just relying on the all day sun rather than making it a nice experience for their customers. Bar food is mediocre ... and don't bother complaining as they already have your money!
