"We visited The Greemroom in July and I’m sorry to say we were underwhelmed! The vegan reviews on trip advisor were seemingly quite good, but things didn’t live up to expectation. On arrival we asked if the sausages were vegan, the lovely young lady serving...us was more than happy to check….onnly apparently the chef had nipped out for a cigarette so she couldn’t answer the question for about minutes. Finally told all good , and we eagerly awaited our breakfasts. The good news was they were fresh and nicely cooked, the bad news, they were rather small and certainly not great value for money. I was served BUTTER with my vegan breakfast!?? I quickly advised the waitress that there had been an error and asked for vegan spread, again was told she would check but this time, she didn’t return so I had to eat my toast dry, Other half had a full English and wasn’t impressed with the stingy portion size either. The wait to get the food was also about half an hour. All in all, as the food was decent and the service at least with a smile, I would say it’s OK, but vegans beware!"

"Visited here on November. One of my most favourite meals out ever. Warm welcome and service was spot on, very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Complimentary bread and olives is a generous gesture. Shared cold fish starter and I ordered Thai mussels,...my wife Hake with Crab Crostini for main courses. Both were delicious and presented beautifully. I cannot praise this restaurant enough and will be returning frequently. Menu exciting and varied with a heavy accent on local fish, just what I am looking for when visiting Cornwall. Well done Taste it was a wonderful dining experience."

"really busy Thursday evening, was so nice to see a flourishing pub. table reserved in restaurant area, much space between tables. options on the menu, including many veggie and vegan options that were a bonus for my veggie partner. good selection of wein and beer on tap. for the main thing we have divided a veggie empanada and rice/fruit roll. the latter was so light in taste, but made better by the delicious dip. for the net I chose fish and chips while my partner had the vegan option of bananenbloom and chips. they would be pushed hard to see what was by looking at only the plates. all bad and clear teller to the end. the staff is very friendly and helpful, although it is busy. would love a return visit."

"we stopped by portreath on a tandem with trailer cycle from st. ives to padstow to grab an breakfast in the form of delicious coffee and some of the best cakes we have ever tried. beautiful views and even love people, friendly, chatty and helpful. a visit, especially on two bike rides. in a graphic that does not really embrace cyclists on the roads, the hub was an oasis for the crazy pedaling types. thanks!"

"Must say me my girlfriend Nicky went last night for food we both agreed that the food was properly the best we have ever had outstanding, we are both still thinking about the tastes of everything the good thing is we still have about 20 dishes to try see you guys soon"
