"If you want food, this is the home of food. Walked in on the off chance of a table... if you don't mind I'll ask the chef...yes that's okay. Table for two in front of the bar. Mind the dog it's a slow moving house guest. At least it won't eat you. You're not as tasty as leg of postman. Specials. Go for specials. It will cost you. If you don't like food served in a decent way go down the toad where the locals are. It will cost you but not an arm or leg. The family next to us were genuinely having photographic fare. The little ones ate the lot followed by Ice Scream. Just the ticket to a gastronomic treat. My friend ate pork belly. He kept that to himself. So would I. Mine was a fish platter to almost die for. Made sure I didn't of course. Hook, line and drinker the cream finished the meal for me. Couldn't eat another mouth full. I had to drive but I'll be back. Make sure you detour here. The amount of cars in the car park determine if this a place of pilgrimage. Enjoy the sonambulant atmosphere. This is not crepe from Macdonalds. Excellent decor and food. The halibut steak on gnocchi with various.vegetables and huge mushroom stalks was excellent and a very generous size, as was the tiramisu. I saw another diner's fish and chips huge. Highly recommended.

well a visit eating was excellent and they have huge portions we never wished a starter, since we could not eat all our main staff was very welcoming and friendly n george the dog) was superb helped clear urplatte for them brilliant would definitely recomend and surely go again

The food was excellent which was served in good time by very pleasant staff. The pub is in a very attractive village and has a large carpark. It is best to check/book before going for a meal as it is very popular but if it's only a drink or two there are seats and tables outside.

My daughter and I have just had the pleasure of dining in your delightful pub. I was going to keep you as my secret gem but, when you get everything so right, you deserve that secret to be shared. A warm, friendly welcome, cosy atmosphere, varied menu AND the best tasting and presented food for miles...by far!
