The food has always been good quality and hopefully the cook remains, however the cost of a packet of crisps at £1.20 is excessive. "not in front of our door and over an hour drive away, but our second visit in so many days is so good! this time for an excellent Sunday dinner for two. between us we ordered chicken,- kicherbsen- and kartoffel soup and king Prawn cocktail, followed by bratbeef with all circumcisions and roojau would have had it with new kartoffels and had it before tom. beautiful arome and no morsel on both tellers! very generous portions and beautifully cooked and presented. did not want to miss out on their delicious desserts, so orange gels had packed with chocolate wedges and ice and pimms gele with obst and covered with ice: strawberries, kiwi, orange segments, bromberries, blueberries. I tell them it was a solid and very favorable. family run, home cooking, it is the best place for miles around. get to the albion, it is a jewel of an ortes."

"So I decided to order from the Chinese menu this evening. I ordered special chow my bark in black bean and garlic sauce, and a zhongwen calamari. I ordered over the website. I have to say that was the worse Chinese food I ever tasted, and I really don't like to leave bad crispy, but I'm so disappointed. the chow mine was so dry and slandered as if it hadn't seen a spatter soy sauce. the bark in black bean and garlic sauce floated in oil around the edge when I put it on my plate and very sharply tasted. I also ordered the calamari, but I got a call to say they never had on camp, I would like to choose another starter. at the place where I just agreed samosas. it was very strange to have an Indian starter and Chinese pornstar. the only reason why I give 2 stars is because of the polite, attentive staff, fast delivery and eating was hot pierced."

"Summary: Nice food at a reasonable price, but staff and reception could definitely be improved! The long version: Went for a meal in the evening with reservations, got through the door and waited to be greeted/shown to our table.. And waited, and waited... Several staff members buzzing around and each and every one of them ignoring us entirety, and even pushing past us (no excuse me ! . Eventually the manager came over and asked us to order some drinks at the bar (we 'd rather just go to our table thanks, but oh okay.. . Get told to sit down at the table next to the bar, and are brought menus and told we can order while we sit there and afterwards we 'll be taken to our proper table, bit weird! I assumed it was because they were rammed full and they were waiting for someone to leave, but when we eventually got in, the place was almost empty. Meal (in contrast to the staff was actually pretty good, tasty and reasonably priced. Frustrating because the staff problems could be so easily solved! Unfortunately the service as it is turned a nice meal into an unpleasant experience."

"We visit farm shops quite often as we like super fresh fruit, veg and cheeses. Took an hour out of our day to visit this one. Small hut next to the main entrance declares ‘fruit and veg’ and all there was were bunches of shrivelled, bendy carrots, some onions, potatoes and a tiny amount of salad produce in a small fridge. So disappointing. So we grab some potatoes so we’ve not had a totally wasted journey and head inside to be greeted by a strong meat smell from the small uninviting meat counter (we asked for a specific item and were told by the chap that he wasn’t sure if they had it and he would have a look when he’d finished serving another customer. Then walked away. Poor cheese selection so we gave up and went to pay. Would definitely not recommend if you are going for anything more than the cafe side which I can’t comment on. But awful selection of fresh produce so not sure how it managed to get any kind of award. Worst one we have visited without exception."
