"Return visit after a few months. We have been here regularly over the years since it was Puccinis and have had many good meals and also family celebrations both in the restaurant and larger parties upstairs, always been good. Early evening meal tea on this visit . Sadly think it's lost it's edge. The room now looks more like a diner, lost the table cloths and a little more clinical looking. Lacks the special touch now. Brought wine and just left on table, whereas it used to be poured. Took side plates away before our starter came and had to ask for them back to use. Food portions are a little smaller but the food was ok nice. What really left me feeling disappointed is that I asked to purchase several gift vouchers for family for meals as Xmas gifts, the waitress seemed really pleased with this and said she would send the manager over to sort this, only for her to come back and to be told I had to pay for them by cash? I'm not sure if this is the norm or what could be a valid reason for this, but I didn't have nearly £300 in cash on me. Suffice to say they lost out on a nearly £300 purchase because they wouldn't take a card payment."

Food was faultless, Service was very slow. Sounded like there was a large party upstairs, so this may have caused the service to be a bit slow. But there was only Three tables sitting downstairs, and it looked like each of these had slow service. This is a shame, because overall the food was excellent. Would I return.
