"Such a lovely, historic spot a stones throw from the cute shops of Rye. There's a fantastic selection of beers and non-alcoholic options including lots of local brews. The space is full of cosy, warm corners to settle down in. When the weather is nice they also have a big beer garden across the way with some lovely views of the town. Well worth a visit. Kid-friendliness: Lots of outdoor space for kids and dogs. Wheelchair accessibility: Doesn't seem very accessible. Price per person: £1–10"

Great traditional 'wet ' pub with great beers and wine. Lively bar and a satisfying wood fire. Bar snacks (heffty pork pies). Large beer garden. It 's definitely my kind of pub. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beer Garden

Lovely atmosphere in the garden in the summer and nice and cosy inside in the winter. Geoff is amazing, and knows his stuff. Would recommend, but don't want too many people knowing about this gem- selfishly want it all to myself! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was a very wet and cold day and we went in to warm up and dry off but, unfortunately, it was cold, dark and damp inside too. We asked if the fire could be started but it wasn't. We left after a while because we were cold (we could see our breaths). Real shame. Voir le carte

Very expensive. £7 for a glass of a 175ml wine that what served. I mentioned to a member of the bar staff that there was a lot of water in the ladies toilet and didn't even receive an acknowledgement of thanks Price per person: £10–20 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes: Beer Garden

This was my favourite pub that we visited in Rye, with an excellent beer selection that is varied enough to suit most tastes (I may or may not have tried almost all of the ones on offer over the course of 3 visits. Dark and atmospheric, we found it to be a great place to hide away on a wet and windy afternoon evening. Atmosphere: 5 Voir le carte

Rye doesn't seem to be short of good pubs and this is no exception. Great beer options, lovely location and very friendly staff. Beers change throughout the year and was hoping for maybe a Deya or Verdant but sadly wasn't to be. Had a very nice hazy IPA and tried a 10% abv called Big Weegie. Pork pie was very tasty also. Will Def be back In future. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This charming old pub seems to cater mainly to tourists. The interior is clean with plenty of seating options. The drink prices are fair. Unfortunately, the large beer garden was closed due to being waterlogged on the day we visited. While they don't serve hot food as they're not a restaurant, we did enjoy a tasty pork pie. It's worth noting that this is a cashless bar, which may not be suitable for everyone. The pub is also not open every day.
